  1. We have a weaker squad than the team that got us promoted definitely, the loss of the creativity of KDH, as well as the quality squad depth of Nacho, Praet and Akgun has gone BUT Cooper isn’t even picking the best players. He's benching some of them! If you’ve got a weaker squad but you are actively selecting a weaker starting 11 out of that weaker squad and even then playing some of this starting 11 in less effective roles, then the outcome that we’ve seen is inevitable!
  2. I assumed Golding was injured and that’s why he wasn’t involved against Lens, now I’m hearing he was fine and with the U21’s?? What’s the point of signing him for that amount of money and then not giving him proper time pre season?? I thought Cooper was keen to develop youth and yet he’s shown the exact opposite since he’s been here. Braybrooke, given no opportunity and Alves and Golding just a token few minutes.
  3. Let’s just not have a striker and go full Cooperball. Cooper could bring in another midfield water carrier to go alongside Hamza and Ndidi. Maybe Raikhy can step in to add a further lack of creativity in the middle.
  4. Only Vardy is a loss. Daka is a liability and Coady is brilliant off the pitch but not great on the pitch, having the same lack of pace as Vesty but not the same level of ability on the ball as the big dane.
  5. Early days but today he looked like he couldn’t trap a bag of cement or pass a ball to anyone in a blue shirt.
  6. If you are aiming to lose then yes. Playing a player out of position is one of the best ways to achieve that aim.
  7. Cooper unfortunately would also rather play Mavididi out of position than Mavididi in position. I don’t think anything Cooper does at the moment should be used to justify a point. He’s currently making bizarre anti-football decisions all over the pitch.
  8. There’s been no evidence in the past two years that backs that up. Daka plays like a competition winner who hasn’t ever played football before.
  9. That description still makes him an improvement on Patson
  10. When at the end of the game Cooper bemoans the lack of signings, I hope the interviewer points out that he started with some of his better creative players sat on the bench. Ricardo, Mavididi, Alves, our best footballing centre back Vestergaard, our best available striker in Cannon - all sat twiddling their thumbs until we have been out to the sword.
  11. Agreed. I’d go as far as to say this is the worst set of performances by a LCFC team since the Ian Holloway era.
  12. Cooper makes crazy selection decisions. Vestergaard makes us a much better team in possession. He’s head and shoulders our best footballing centre back and he’s clearly now well down the pecking order. Ricardo is our best fullback and ditto, Daka is our worst striker, Hamza, Ndidi and Winks is an awful combination. Mavididi is more creative than Bobby Reid. Alves should’ve had significant minutes during this month and he hasn’t. Cooper makes crazy decisions all across the pitch. At least Rodgers’ just lost the plot with his keeper choice.
  13. This long ball into the mixer from Mads with our attacking options is Cooperball genius.
  14. Loving the lack of subs. When you are 3-0 down, don’t change a thing. That’ll definitely work.
  15. The only clear message Cooper is currently sending us and the board is. ‘I don’t have a clue about how to set up this team to press collectively, to defend as a unit, to attack as a unit & retain possession. I don’t want to try and give an opportunity to my young players from the development squad . I don’t want to play with any creativity, with any obvious game plan or style of play.’ Not sure how this is likely to help him influence those running the club. Seems counterintuitive to me.
  16. Loving the 1 man press as well. Hamza’s been told to press like an absolute crazed man, everyone else has been told to stand off walk around and basically let Lens play through them. Loving Cooperball.
  17. Great stuff from Leicester, give away possession deep in our own half, then give away a corner, crowd our own keeper, leave the edge of the box entirely free so at least 3 of their attackers can stand there ready to shoot. Repeat.
  18. Winks, Hamza, Wilf central midfield. WOW, Cooper is going all out for a well earned, ground out 2-0 loss.
  19. Johnstone not being even near the level of Hermansen is the problem with that plan if true.
  20. How many times do I have to go over this. Cooper happily went in to the start of that season with newly signed Turner as first choice and newly signed Vlachodimos as back up when both weren’t good enough to be top level keepers in the Prem - ask a Benfica fan about the Greek lad if you doubt what I say. Basically they signed two Danny Ward keepers. That was a very weak goalkeeping lineup and it proved to be a factor in Forest conceding soft goals. Are you seriously telling me that Cooper had no input into those signings? The new manager, a former keeper, corrects the obvious error straight away with a keeper that makes saves. Cooper was sacked in part because he was happy to go along with the signing of two keepers who were obviously not good enough.
  21. The new manager comes in and he sees what was an obvious major problem and corrects it literally straight away? Where’s the reaching there then? Sells was visibly a way better keeper from the get go. Turner was never good enough, not many fans would’ve thought he looked good from his limited Arsenal career. Cooper selected him, & would’ve had some influence on the keeper he wanted in the transfer window. It was as bad as Rodger’s trusting Ward. I have no agenda against Cooper, I hope he does well but a link with Johnstone after trusting only Ward whilst Mads was away, coming after his last season obvious goalie errors is a worry. What happens if Mads gets poached?
  22. Err you’ve had a mare here. You’ve merely reworded exactly what I said. Cooper was happy to play Turner and the Greek lad. Both were visibly not up to the job. He gets sacked, the new manager comes in and one of his VERY FIRST actions is to replace the poor goalies that Cooper trusted. Ignore the facts mate eh?
  23. Joking apart, I think £8m for this lad playing as a number 10 would’ve been perfect for Cooper’s LCFC. He was underrated in the more physical Championship and he would’ve had less rough treatment in the prem.
  24. He’s average. Can’t see it happening, we don’t need another average keeper ffs. My concern with Cooper from his last season in the premier league with Notts Forest was that he was more than happy to select clearly bang average/poor keepers when we everyone could see that the American Turner and the Greek lad were both liabilities from day 1. As soon as he was sacked the goalie changed to Sels who was clearly a much more secure keeper. If Hermansen wasn’t at LCFC and based on the friendlies, I reckon Cooper would be more than happy to play fellow Welshman Ward despite his selection pretty much guaranteeing relegation.
