Supposedly we had a shirt sponsorship deal all lined up and then inexplicably the sponsor cancelled on the 27th May 🤷🏻♂️

Cooper has a very poor record in The Premier League. I’d rather have an unknown quantity (like Enzo was) than someone we have already seen fail.

Very bad Premier League experience. He was rubbish in the top league with Notts Forest. No thanks.

“There’s no loyalty in football anymore”

It’s not like a normal job though, you can’t compare a football manager and his team to a standard office job or similar. In a normal job when you are headhunted by another employer there is usually both a succession plan within the business involving staff already employed in the business and/or a reasonable handover time when the person leaving will assist with the handover to the new appointment. In football management there isn’t that. Not only that, the whole management team is usually entirely asset stripped as will be the case with Maresca and his gang. Tbh, Enzo leaving after just one season and after winning The Championship is an outlier, it’s not a normal situation even in the disloyal world of football. I can’t think of another example in recent times. I do totally understand why he’s gone. There’s football reasons sure, but the most important consideration is money. The apparent scarcity of the type of managers top clubs now want has resulted in relegated Kompany at Bayern and Championship experienced Enzo at Chelsea. This scarcity of talent and the level of disruption left at the asset stripped club should be reflected in a higher compensation or transfer fee for a manager. £10m doesn’t reflect the risk that Enzo leaving now places on Leicester’s chances of survival. He should’ve cost Chelsea the price of a quality player on a long term contract, something like £30m or so. Not only does this truly reflect the potential damage that a successful manager leaving causes to a club, it might make clubs like Chelsea think twice before signing new managers on for five years and then sacking them less than 12 months later, repeating the process to asset stripping another club! -

“There’s no loyalty in football anymore”

He got the job based on the long term project he outlined. He’s then not even lasted a year. He’s been particularly disloyal in a disloyal business however much you defend him. McKenna on the other hand has already given Ipswich two years and he’s committed to another despite bigger clubs wanting him. -
Cry me a river.

To be fair even in what is a disloyal business. this Enzo saga is an unprecedented lack of loyalty. When has a new manager left after just one season straight after winning The Championship? I can’t remember this situation ever happening before. -
Yeh but that pre-assist against Brentford though…..🥰
-
He’s scored against Mexico too btw but the fact is he’s good in the air, it’s not all about goals, it’s defending and also creating havoc in the opposition box. Souttar had demonstrated both those attributes in a LCFC shirt. Not sure the relevance of your crap put-down but I’ll give it back to you anyway. 😂 ’Cry me a river..’
-
That’s a DHGate snide😂
-
I forgot that statistics like goals don’t count if they don’t suit your opinion 👍🏻👍🏻
-
He’s very good in the air defensively and attacking, he wins a lot of balls at both ends even if he doesn’t score. He’s scored 11 goals in 29 games for Australia.
-
Basic moral fibre in your friendship group? Presumably you have to interview any potential mates to check that they match the ultra high standards, including checking their kids drawers for LCFC tops! 😂 I’d suggest that any of the companies you’ve outlined will have some moral issues if they can afford ‘humungous advertising budgets’ - it tends to come with the territory. There’s not many businesses that make shed loads of money that won’t have skeletons in their moral closet somewhere!

They’ll take our East Stand Decelopment, Seagrave’s 9 hole golf course, The Birch, Filbert Fox, the £25 physical season ticket, clappers, free coconuts, FBS, Danny Ward, one of the big screens, our next 3 appointed managers, all the soap and blue roll in the toilets and Will Alves.

Leicester City and VfL Bochum - Blue and White Friendship

Congratulations Bochum! What a comeback. That Asano who came off the bench on the right wing is rapid btw! -
What are the positives? We’ve lost our whole management team just as we get promoted to The Premier League as Champions. When has that happened before? How can that be positive? We are now favourites to be relegated with the bookies ahead of both Ipswich and Southampton. Enzo has absolutely shithoused us.

Foxes talk is no barometer

Moyes is an absolutely massive risk from a spectator’s perspective. His teams definitely don’t entertain. Ask West Ham fans.
-
It’s not the same as a normal job is it? Firstly as a manager your contract gets paid in full even if you aren’t good enough to do it. What normal job rewards failure and incompetence in that way? Enzo is now taking the whole vision that got him the job in the first place, the whole coaching team that helped him, with no handover time and no real time to have built the resilience into the club that could continue the vision. We’ll be starting from scratch in the most difficult league in the world and as such we are now definitely favourites to be relegated. He’s not even given it a year. I don’t remember the last manager that has shown such a lack of loyalty in the English game never mind at Leicester. Irrespective of whether you think he would’ve got us relegated, he shouldn’t be praised for making a decision that betrays the players he signed and coached and the fans that sang his name and expected a bit more loyalty than 11 & 1/2 months in The Championship.
-
Not sure how many companies with your very high standards there are that can afford Premier League sponsorship tbf. 😂
-
What you’ve outlined is not the decision making process of someone who truly backs themselves though. That’s a decision of someone who doubts they may be good enough to get another offer!
