Skipp is having an absolute nightmare out there tonight.

BDCR absolutely nailing the onfield spectator role. Again. 3 years to enjoy his masterclass in peripheral wide non-existence. -
Thing with Ward is he gives you no hope. He plays like an outfield player that’s had to go in goal due to the goalie getting injured. He parries a few but anything potentially challenging he usually watches it go by awestruck.

A mouthwatering opportunity to see ‘The Two Giants From The Palace™️’ performing together in perfect unison. Ayew AND Edouard. TOGETHER. What a time to be alive.
-
The continual errors, the indecision and lack of confidence on the pitch are directly attributable in part to how these players are being coached. Steve Cooper is every bit as responsible for that 2nd half display as the players were.

Yeh I think the best option would be to make the UFS area up to the goal all safe standing if/when the expansion occurs. One full half of that end would have a significant impact noise wise. It would obviously displace a lot of people though so would probably need to come with a sweetener that would allow those displaced to move to an expanded east stand with some sort of discount for a period of time.

Leicester City vs Nottingham Forest Tactical Analysis
funkyrobot replied to StriderHiryu's topic in Leicester City Forum
Skipp was very ineffective against Southampton and was rightly subbed at half time in that game. So I’m not convinced he’s anything other than a back up/alternative to Ndidi. He’s certainly not got the creativity to play instead of Winks who is our one centre mid with a bit of quality on the ball. -
Yeh I was interested because there are a few on this thread that comment on the atmosphere from watching on the telly which isn’t really the best indicator. If you really want to critique an atmosphere it’s way more relevant if you are at the games. I see that you do usually go and you are front row UFS so fair play but there definitely wasn’t 90 minutes of chanting from that or any other area in this game. Nor should anyone demand that there should be when the performance on the pitch was so bereft of any conviction, particularly after the 2nd Wood goal went in. As I’ve said, if any Leicester fan was able to chant through 90 minutes of that game then they must’ve been wearing the very finest beer goggles that money can buy.

The problem is, we are scoring way more goals than we should be scoring considering the small amount of chances we are creating. That’s why XG stats and the like are also a good indicator of a team’s potential. We are also not conceding as many goals as we should given the quality of the chances we are allowing our opponents to have and yet we are still conceding lots of goals! In other words, our league position is built more on luck than any great structured sustainable play and relying on luck is not a realistic game plan!

KDH not even on the bench today. He’s appears to be just a Europa-Conference player for Chelsea. 🤷🏻♂️

That’s a brave thing to admit to. Steve.

Some of the back up squad shows just how reliant we are on our first team keeping fit to have any kind of chance this season. We play that lineup against Man U and we could be a great confidence booster for Ten Hag’s shambolic leadership.
-
The only way you can use Coady is in a back 3. He isn’t mobile enough or good enough in the air to play in a back 4. Tbh if we did go down the back 3 route then I’d prefer Vestergaard to him as he’s a better footballer but I’m pretty sure the relationship between him and Cooper is not great.
-
I was asking whether you were there chanting throughout as there were times when tbh other than shouts of encouragement or exasperation, there were no audible chants, particularly when we were 3-1 down so I’m not sure even you were actually following your call to arms. Or were you even there?
-
Were you honestly making the effort to chant throughout the match against Forest? Because if you were there were times when you couldn’t be heard. I was there as I always am as a season ticket holder and I try and join in with any UFS chants who I sit further along from. After Forest went 3-1 up, Bouba had come on and it was very clear that Cooper and the team were going through the motions, it was very quiet, only Forest fans could be heard.
-
It’s not about always winning but it is about the players showing enough conviction to the cause. Last night it looked like the team didn’t believe they could get back into the game and that doesn’t exactly spark a good atmosphere in the crowd. Nothing was created in the second half whereas Forest could’ve had 5 or 6. Those that could happily sing and cheer through that must’ve been on at least their 6th pint of the night.
-
We’ve had all of these playing whatever system Cooper has deployed this season.
-
The crowd tried to lift them when we conceded again but there was nothing coming from the players. As I said, to continually chant and cheer during that second half required a good set of beer goggles. They were very poor and gave no hope at any point of getting back in the game. I can’t even remember a shot at goal in that second half.
-
Not a bad plan, only problem is Vesty and Cooper don’t get on. The ‘ankle injury’ aside, he isn’t going to get much in the way of game time whilst Cooper is in charge.
-
Okoli was poor for two of the goals last night, still early days to judge whether he’s going to be a success.
-
We had ONE shot on target. We can’t defend and we created very little going forward and nothing in the 2nd half. Cooper is failing at both ends of the pitch. We concede too many goals/expected goals and we don’t create enough opportunities to win games considering the amount of goals we concede.
-
Looking at our full back options he should’ve played significantly more than zero minutes before last night which ensured he came in undercooked into a big match. It’s not so much hype as in the fact that with our current FB options he should start more often than not because we are so weak in that area. Hes competing with JJ, VK & Thomas ffs.

Nonsense?? You honestly. don’t think that home support at all clubs is not influenced by what’s going on actually on the pitch? It’s absolutely the same everywhere. When things are going well OR the team is fighting then the crowd will back them. Neither scenario occurred in the 2nd half last night. An away support is always loud when the away team is in the game. All of the fans are concentrated into one area and many will be well lubricated by kick off time. Forest are in form and outplayed us. Their fans were great because of this. When Forest were shafted 4-0 at ours a couple of years ago their fans were understandably crap by the end of the game.
-
The atmosphere is massively influenced by the performance on the pitch. In the second half the team looked clueless, lacked conviction and by the end were going through the motions. When this is considered on top of the club being lead by a manager who is unpopular, there’s no surprise that the atmosphere was flat. To happily sing and cheer throughout that second half would’ve required the delusion that only multiple pints of beer can provide.

On a shitness scale he was less shit than Justin and Okali and equally as shit as Faes. That’s why I’m not sure why you only highlighted him.
