A massive part of the attitude problem and poor squad togetherness we suffer from. Get him gone
-
Yup, and they could just offset wage contributions in an upfront agreement, that may even include monthly payments against that agreement to not affect cash flow
-
He looked amazing for his first few games and we had a mouth watering prospect of seeing him skin full backs for fun… I think the reality in professional team environments is that the defensive responsibilities / shape / structure elements are heavily coached and almost extinguish that raw attacking flair out of the youngster as he’s trying to remember all the instructions to not let the team down. Add in several changes in manager and therefore message, and two relegation battles and you’ve created the worst possible environment for a young flair player. The perfect storm, let’s hope he stays and we see what he’s capable of in a functioning elite sporting culture (should we re-find one)

I don’t think there’s any restriction on loaning for the last yr of contract, it just doesn’t make commercially. Player worth nothing to existing club, they just want him off the wage bill. Buying / loaning club must see a value in the player so to hold his registration for that year gives them opportunity to agree longer deal before he’s a free agent. I think it’s just a cost neutral way of gaining a slight advantage for the incoming club so they don’t generally loan… although there may be PSR implications I haven’t worked out!

I know this won’t be a popular opinion, but I can see him being much better there than here. Surely Lampard can inspire him, and tweak his attitude where Steve Cooper et al couldn’t? Strikes me as someone that will only put effort in for someone he respects
-
Sad to see him go. We really are reaping what our illustrious leader sown
-
I’d be happy with this
-
Thanks! 🤦♂️Frustrated that I didn’t work that out!!!
-
Can I ask, are you American?
-
Is how they will justify the first month of delay. They will then have “some bad luck” with those they approach… and we’ll be 10/11 weeks of no manager prior to appointing someone cheap and available (and that we could have appointed today)
-
I’m absolutely behind RW now I’ve heard this - He is exactly what we need right now - someone that holds the entire club to a set of standards. It is exactly the reason he won’t be anywhere near our shortlist
-
All the best Ricky, nice to see what it meant to you today

Just found myself appealing for a penalty. For Blackburn.

That’s exactly what a functioning Board does; Promote high achievers and get rid of under achievers. The Thai loyalty trait (&/or thick owner) means that instead we’re run like a Borough Council - Time, and not ability, is the criteria for advancement.
-
Yeah but it works well so why bother changing??
-
I’m too embarrassed to do that because I’m now an adult
-
Not intending to be pedantic but the latest is 9%… and the next will be way higher!
-
I get that… so ware your old LCFC clobber… it tells people you’re still supporting your team and have been for ages
-
Turgid.

This, I suspect, is terrifyingly accurate.

You’ll have to translate that for me I’m afraid

Relegation, League 1, financial implications

£500k / month possibly… but absolutely not a chance it’s £500k/ week. Away travel is also not a Seagrave cost. -

I think our potential saviour is an entity with no connection to the city or county, that sees us as a good value recovery bet -

I can see them trying that too … but his analysis really brings home what a fragile house of cards it is. 9% for the latest loan… things quickly unravel in a debt spiral
