  1. For them
  2. Top is a human being still very much going through an awful situation. Let’s remember this and try to keep our dissatisfaction in other threads respectful and dignified.
  3. I think we’re in “roll the dice” territory, however I’m always naturally on the side of take the gamble, so can see the merit in keeping him until summer
  4. Interesting … I know his stats / our win ratio suggests his importance to us, but I’d be cashing in and trading up
  5. What’s the Wilf rumour??
  6. It’s so difficult to analyse without knowing what’s in his mind. I can see both possibilities being true. If asked by the technical analysis team (let’s hope that we do this), were you aware of this guy behind you? Yeah I was concentrating on keeping a perfect line with the rest of the defence knowing that he’s either offside or I’m catching him… then a coach can work on his body position etc. He could certainly have been a step towards our goal as the ball is played but blimey that’s a small margin to criticise and only possible with video replays and not full speed games. It’s a really interesting one because in reality his guy was offside and he kept a good line… but was that due to luck or judgement? A quiet conv with a great manager in training is the difference those managers make improving players and getting that extra 1%
  7. I see that as the defender keeping an almost perfect line with the rest of the back four and letting his attacker stray 3 yards offside. If he’d have stayed goalside I’d be worried
  8. The Bobby Reid thread seems to have been Thai-jacked
  9. “sack some of the board” that’s the spirit!!
  10. The best post on FT for quite some time!!
  11. Is this Babylon’s alternative account?
  12. My take on this is that Top is committed long term to the club. He may be really wondering what he’s meant to do to make the situation on the pitch and with the fans better. He’s putting his money down and potentially stands to lose even more of it but he keeps pouring it in. However, good intentions don’t make good business. He has the cash but not the ability to run a successful business. It’s a great shame as I’m sure his heart is in the right place. He desperately needs some good advice.
  13. I’d absolutely cash in now on Wilf. He’s only here because he didn’t get the big move he thought he’d get in the summer. These types of sales are the trading gifts we need to make the most of (but don’t)
  14. Is this culture a result of Top being the players’ mate?
  15. Happy Birthday Zak VeBord from Aunty Rud Kinout x
  16. I am!! To convince people of the utter incompetence of KP - retail is their core business!! I used to think getting a new DOF sorted this mess, but looking at that entire page of merch it obviously won’t!
  17. Wow! King Power showing their retail expertise there. They really are a shocking business
  18. Just another example of King Power seeing someone else doing something and copying it, without understanding the reasons or putting in the effort required to make it work. They are a very poorly run business
  19. Seriously? Are those shirts really for sale???
  20. This is just about the only dice Ruud hasn’t rolled to be fair to him. It seems like a natural thing to try
  21. This is the choice I never understand. It’s like the only way to win is play horrible football, and yet almost every example of successful sides play “attractive” football. At worst they aren’t mutually exclusive, and at best I’d argue they are linked
  22. I think this highlights how out of touch they are with running a business within a competitive environment. They’re paying £35m for brand exposure for shops at Bangkok airport. How does that ever make sense??? Paying that money for the visit Thailand campaign I get - the more traffic through the airport the better for the retail monopoly. But £35m to promote the brand over the door of the shop is not going to result in significantly more packs of £25 dried mango being sold (in Thailand very few people know KP) It’s all about respect / reputation / being seen to be valued Thai royal family friends… and that money may be well spent to keep the monopoly going… but it’s terrible training for how to run a business in an advanced capitalist country
  23. And then started PayPal, Tesla, Spacex etc etc. He wasn’t hard up to begin with, but he made himself a Billionaire from millionaire through talent (whether you like him is a different story). Top started as a Billionaire and risks being a Millionaire
  24. They both share an air of untouchable that’s for sure
