I hate Rodgers way too much to enter into any kind of rational debate I’m afraid
-
Would he?? I remember exactly the same criticisms of Rodgers as it fell apart - No subs, same 11, tired players, rigid tactics etc etc. I know we don’t like Enzo today, but let’s not accidentally give Rodgers credit!!
-
He also got a side that was easily a top ten side relegated.
-
Exactly what I thought too!
-
Was that the big centre half in the last minute?
-
Ipswich making their 4th sub by 69 minutes. Remember when we made substitutions?? Those were the days!

For me a combination of: Stubbornly one dimensional tactics from the manager. The players were improving and our performances improving for 1/2 season, now the reverse seems to be happening. We are easy to play against because nothing is a surprise. It’s frightening that Enzo doesn’t see this. Lack of fitness - our players look less fit than the opposition regularly. Fatigue, slightly different to above, we seem to be tired almost from the start of a game. Are they not enjoying the football? Positivity - The players and manager had a real bounce in their step that’s quickly gone. January - The psychological boost of a couple of new players would have done much to reverse the above list. January again - Square pegs in round holes is always going to be a problem in an inherited squad. Swapping 2 squares for 2 rounds significantly improves the fit the squad has for the manager and every transfer window should see an improvement. January AGAIN - Without the above the current squad sees the staleness and lack of continual improvement and ambition, they question the club. The FFS effect - imagine giving your all, playing with minor injuries, and feeling like it’s an uphill battle. The club is badly run, we don’t improve the squad, the league are going to screw us, the manager won’t change etc etc …. Losing motivation even very slightly is all it takes at this level of sport to decline quickly Substitutions - 5 sets of fresh legs per game allowed, and yet we use 2 at most and even then only for limited time. If I’m a sub I’m frustrated. If I’m playing alongside someone having a stinker I’m frustrated. If I’m having a stinker I learn that it’s ok. It’s poor messaging from the manager. Rudkin.
-
There may be an even sadder ending… Rudkin gets involved and extends his contract
-
I’m his biggest fan and love a Fox playing for the team…. But his form mirrors the team, it’s fallen off a cliff. I wonder whether it’s his form that’s ruining the side or the other way round?
-
I feel exactly the same

Hardly shocking - there’s 3 pages of people saying exactly this before your comment

Really difficult to not draw parallels with the Rodgers ends to seasons. We looked devoid of fitness, sharpness, ideas and attacking intent then too
-
Very predictable, very slow, and ponderous. It’s becoming easier to play us as we become more one dimensional.
-
I’m aiming to explain what I meant by “I genuinely think”, not “tame a situation”. There is no situation. You’ve misinterpreted my words and somehow chosen to be offended. I’ve explained the intent and apologised if it wasn’t clear.
-
“I genuinely think” is an expression of my opinion. Sorry if that wasn’t clear enough.
-
We’d have got more if we’d sold him! He clearly wasn’t motivated in that last season, piled on the pudding and left for free. I’m not even sure who to be more mad at - Rodgers or Rudkin for letting it happen
-
Tielemans looks a Stone lighter. Its really criminal that we got nothing for him other than a year of him running down his contract at Greggs
-
I think Ipswich are a good example to pick. For me they’re like us at our best under Enzo. They don’t treat the ball like a hot potato but do fizz it around quickly with purpose. Often I think the criticism of our style of play is when we haven’t had a good game, or run of them. This style doesn’t stand up well to a bad day at the office
-
I genuinely think you should start looking for a different sport to follow - Football at the top level has already changed to this style and will trickle down the leagues. If it’s not Enzo playing this style (which I see the benefits but also why you think it’s dull sometimes) then it’ll be someone else

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
5waller5 replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Simple: they thought their breach was minor and a timing issue, and were convinced that by cooperating in the investigation they’d be exonerated. They weren’t, they got a hefty sanction, so are appealing it -
Are we gonna lose out on FATAWU ????
5waller5 replied to Big Blue Maff's topic in Leicester City Forum
There’s a transfer embargo thread for this. And it’s already been discussed at length -
There were plenty but they were quickly shut down with “we’ve just won the FA Cup”.
-
It’s a complex system but certainly makes it interesting!! There must be very few dead rubbers in Belgian football
-
I’m not sure what I despair about more. The state of English football governance or that an LCFC fan can’t spell the name of one of the protagonists of our demise. It’s Rodgers ffs!
