  1. 100%. Should've mentioned him too. Especially after so many have doubted him.
  2. Poor going forward – but defended well (and bravely). I'll take that at this stage of the season. Not having BEK and Stephy showed – also lost McAteer at the end of the week. Not easy for any manager to deal with disruption like that, never mind a new one that is still learning about his squad. Long season. Once the window closes, Marti can get to work with the players he will end up with. Whether we sign anyone or not, I'm confident he will get us playing better than this.
  3. If Vestergaard and Okoli play like that in every game, they can bring their dogs, cats and any other feken pets to Seagrave they want. Jakub deservedly MoM too.
  4. Vestergaard has just given Abdul a rocket for messing about. Love to see that.
  5. Some thoughts... No urgency to us. Our press is non-existent, apart from Ayew. And he is now giving up as he isn't supported. There is no penetration from us. We are asking too much of Page (to provide all the creativity in the midfield) as he's partnered by Skipp and Soumare. Fatawu can't do it all on his own. We need to get Monga more involved to share the load. We aren't going to score many goals from Thomas and Hamza whipping in crosses that only someone who is 8ft tall can reach.
  6. Is it me or does Page look clumsy and cumbersome?
  7. Soumare and Skipp. I just can't...I mean...what? Seriously? Marti, please!
  8. "I struggle when I'm part of a team that's not doing great". Wrexham P2 W0 D0 L2 "i'’ve now got my excitement back, I love going into work".
  9. Great deal for both. I think £12m is slightly over the odds for McAteer, unless McKenna can find a way to get a better tune out of him than we have. That's not to say that he won't strengthen the current Ipswich squad – he really does. So on the face of it, the move works for both. Good luck, Kasey! One of our own.
  10. 100%. If selling assets and not spending means the club's future is more secure (and means that we're less likely to suffer points deductions, or worse, in the future) and we'd have to rely on our youngsters, then I'd be absolutely fine with that.
  11. The huge worry I have is that we will cash in on BEK and get further income from the likes of Faes, Soumare or Fatawu....and then Rudkin spaffs most of it in this window on the equivalents of Skipp, Coulibaly, BDC, Coady, Souttar etc.
  12. I've been saying exactly this for months. This is going to sound arrogant, but I do wonder what some people see when they watch football.
  13. Wow. Could've done with a bit of basic proofing before sending it out into the world. If you want to produce inane drivel, fine. But at least make sure it's grammatically correct.
  14. I don't know mate. We paid £20m plus add-ons for Skipp. I reckon BEK is twice the player Skipp will ever be. This summer, we've had the following: Jacob Ramsey went for £39m. Omari Hutchinson for £37.5m Dango Outtara for £37m Dan Ndoye £34.6m In Europe, Ardon Jashari went for £29m I think £30m+ is pretty much on the money. With actual footballers around him, as opposed to the dross we have, BEK will be a decent addition to most teams in Europe – obviously apart from the elite, top teams.
  15. Either way, we dodged a bullet there. Worked for both parties, though because after all, he went on to land the huge job of... *searches the internet* ...the head coach of the mighty Canadian national team.
  16. We're shit. They're shit. The ref's shit. The support is shit. The commentators are shit... Aaah. Good to be back in the Championship.
  17. What's going on with these corners too?
  18. Tip for those involved in organising this: just make sure the only thing Martin can pick up around him is the microphone (so no black balls, for example), or those at the back might end up not hearing him.
  19. I can see how you got fooled. I mean, that website screams of being a legitimate source of news. And just in case your name is Sheldon Cooper...
  20. Oh, I agree with nearly all of that. All I'm saying is that, in a Moyes system, Fatawu would be asked to utilise only some of his assets (pace, energy), but not the ones that make him exciting - the unpredictability and ability to beat players. Moyes is all about quick, direct transitions and playing balls in behind lines and then players running onto them.
  21. That would be an awful move for him. Moyes would not know how to best use him. Fatawu would spend 80% of the time pressing the opposition and the rest of the time looking to run onto long/direct passes behind his marker.
  22. What? *Looks at user name* Ah. Put the pipe down.
  23. Agreed. Sadly, I think they will have a stinker of a season. Unless a new owner steps in. Big club, loads of history. Such a shame to see it in what could be terminal decline.
  24. So many here keep saying the same thing... "He's a bellend" "He thinks he's better than he is" "He thinks he's Maldini" "His attitude stinks and he thinks he's above us" Is there any evidence of this? Genuine question. Because it's highly likely that I've missed something he has said or put on social media etc.
  25. I keep seeing these kind of comments. Have I massively missed something? Is there evidence of this? Has he said something at some point, or...?
