I do think Charlton will probably go back down. It's quite unfortunate for them to go up with Birmingham and Wrexham.
-
I've long suspected this. If there's one thing they're good at it's reputation management. Finally it's running out though.

Just such an obviously better fit. He's got massive shades of being this years Corberan.
-
Genuinely is he an outfielder?

Another shit thing about appointing Martin is it's another lightning rod to deflect attention away from the real issues. You didn't hear much about Rudkin when we had Cooper in charge. Perfect fall guy for this lot. Wouldn't be surprised if that was the more important thing for them, rather than his possession obsession.
-
Martin's teams consistently ship goals. I don't recall a team being promoted conceding 63 goals until Southampton did it. His record really is just quite patchy. I don't expect him to be a complete calamity at this level as a general rule. But I wouldn't be surprised if he cemented our position as an average Championship side.
-
111 points is insane though regardless. They seemed a very consistent winning machine rather than a team that dealt out many real batterings. I wonder how high into the Championship you would have to delve to get a team who would actually get 111 points in the league. Would Coventry? Would Norwich? I have my doubts. I think there's a chance they're already better than both.

I'm not saying it's easy but I wouldn't be using ourselves as the example - we are especially dreadful at it. It's the sort of thing a good DoF can give you an upper hand. Although ours isn't good, he's the so called best in the business. How lucky we truly are.

Agree with this. They like us habitually lose games of football. They were awful. They will probably have the best squad but they're not in a good way. I really do think Birmingham can go up.
-
The bookies won't offer value on the assumption a team won't be deducted points. For our price to be a lot bigger than Ipswich and Southampton, rather than in line with them both, tells me they're pretty certain we'll be docked points. If we weren't getting a points deduction then the odds on Leicester being promoted, and Leicester winning the Championship, are huge value. Even I as somebody utterly despondent about the club would bet on both.

The biggest problem I have here is that two years ago we were in exactly this position. Bomb out the toxic players and bring in hungry ones. Well Winks was part of this initial revolution and it's gone the same way with him as well. My question is why does this keep happening no matter who comes in? I actually don't necessarily think he was always some bad egg. I just think there is very much a culture issue at this club which seems to rot virtually everybody who is involved in it. The two main factors both ultimately stem from Aiyawatt - he sets the bar with the tolerance of people like Rudkin & Whelan, and the fact he's always got the players backs. They know they can take the piss here. Remember Faes? Genuinely humble when he got here now thinks he's above it. It's poisonous.

Will probably join someone more ambitious and better run like Burnley or Bournemouth.

Winks reminds me a bit of someone like Leon Britton if people remember him. He had a similar style of play. I think if the circumstances are built for him then he can be a useful player. If they're not, he's pretty hopeless. Maresca created a situation very beneficial to Winks. The club haven't and therefore it's been another pretty short-sighted signing.

The bookies have us coming 7th which I can only conclude is a pretty nailed on points deduction. They deem us less likely to be promoted than Birmingham, Middlesbrough and Coventry. We really have inflicted the most self-imposed, unnecessary decline ever. Never seen anything like it.
-
I do think things are very different. Things would've caught up with Aiyawatt and Rudkin eventually but we accelerated the decline enormously by allowing Rodgers to tank us into the Championship.
-
Mike Williamson for **** sake He's like the League Two Martin. It really is as if it's deliberate.
-
I think it's quite clear reading between the lines it's going to be him. There is just no respite whatsoever here is there? We just lurch from one depressing situation to another nowadays. You can barely believe what's playing out when you really lay things bare. They serve up the biggest **** you to the fans in a season they could've possibly served up and their response is going to be to appoint another extremely unpopular manager with the fanbase for the second year running. A manager who is not popular nor that likely to be a success. It's just utterly preposterous. Insulting. You couldn't really make a case for why he'd be doing this but it's so bad that it feels almost deliberate.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
Dan replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
It feels like we're still going through the gears when it comes to the ineptness on show at LCFC. Like even as little as two years ago I think he'd be out of the door by now. It's like nobody at the club can even be arsed. -
Same as this - not a lot because of this ban. Which I will keep on highlighting.
-
They're genuinely going to appoint him aren't they. We're in a genuine tailspin as a club. So depressing.
-
Simply cannot be appointed after that earlier.
-
He's possibly the worst manager we've ever had but this is a far bigger issue than him. If I was owner of Forest and I ran them this badly I would probably assume I'd made it too obvious. The fact people actively shill for this ownership. I spend 10 minutes a day minimum showing gratitude for the fact I'm not one of these people.

Life under Aiyawatt.

The biggest myth of a player we've had.
