We had already tried him out a few years back - wasn't as good as Trevor Peake but fair play was way better than Lineker... ...must be knocking on a bit age wise by now. -

Leicester and the England World Cup Squad - The Full Story

Southernhay Road (off London Road) was a very posh road (suspect most residents claim to be Stoneygate NOT Knighton). As a boy I lived in Shanklin Drive (also off London Road). The house in Southernhay Road was Gary's parents house. Later when Lineker got his first house he lived in Kenwood Road (just round the corner from Shanklin Drive). Shanklin Drive had a mild incline, Whilst doing my homework in the front bedroom I would see Lineker jogging up the hill. I think I remember him even doing this on Christmas day morning! Gary had a small sponsored Fiat Uno on the drive in Kenwood Road :-. I ...Gary was very proud of his Uno - I would see him regularly washing it. -
I've found it on Supersports 4 Variety - glad I brought my Amazon Fire Stick to our holiday cottage.

When Maddison scored I said to my son:- The game will get 5 minutes extra time (even though it only deserves 3-4 mins max) and Spurs will score in the last minute... ...I didn't expect them to score twice in the last minute though! With 15 seconds to go we were winning.

Well Oadby did have the authentic Scottish Pub "The Swinging Sporan" built into the frontage of the Woolco Hypermarket.

Demarai Grey has miniature voodoo dolls of the entire City squad... ...each week when the team is announced he sticks pins in the dolls (of the players named in the team).

Don't they normally block the footie on Radio Leicester on the net? As others have said I have no real desire to renew my acquaintance with Stringer... ...so I'll go LCFC Radio instead. -

I don't live near Leicester so cannot get Radio Leicester... ...is there radio commentary on LCFC Radio? -
On Saturday I went to my local Hertford Hertfordshire Oxfam for the first time since the shop lockdown ended... ...and scored a haul of mint Diesel Park West vinyl. That was a clear sign that we would win today. On the Saturday of the final... ...I will go to Oxfam and buy a Showaddywaddy box set - if it means that we win the cup!

Hope they still have the TV build up from late morning... ....with the players on the coach playing cards! -

OK regarding music... I bought my first CDs in 1984 from Ainleys by the clocktower... ...firstly all the Kraftwerk CDs on German import (I then stupidly sold all my vinyl to the bloke in Cank Street). I now have circa 6000 CDs and I have got back into vinyl too. All my CDs and Vinyl are ripped in flac to a 6TB harddrive... I have built music streamers using Raspberry Pi mini computers (and attached Wolfson Audio Card) and have them dotted about the house. These act as Squeezebox Touch clones and can be controlled by a tablet app. In the lounge system the Pi feeds the Creek DAC and Amp previously mentioned. The Musical Fidelity X10D valve stage has been completely modified by Rock Grotto In Scotland (I also have one of their Little Pinkie Linear Power Supplies). I have AVI Neutron IV speakers which are highly revealing. In my bedroom system another Pi feeds a Beresford SEG DAC (with Dorado PSU) and Sennheiser HD650 headphones. I use a Pro-ject Turntable to rip my vinyl at 24-48 using Goldwave software on my Windows 7 PC. All cables are from Chord... ...the Creek Amp and CD player / DAC sit on Tesco Finest Granite chopping boards (which in turn sit on Dunlop Yellow Dot Squash balls in furniture castor cups). The sound I get is fantastic! I have a complete collection of the Factory Records catalogue on CD (my favourite band is The Durutti Column).

Ah but you haven't heard my TV setup... The Panasonic TV speakers are good enough for speech but when it comes to the Proms on BBC4... I run an Optical lead from my Virgin Box to a Creek 50CD DAC (using twin Wolfson 8742 DACs in dual differential mode)... ...the converted analogue single then passes through a highly modified Musical Fidelity valve stage using valves from Russian Mig fighter planes. Then the signal is amplified by my Creek 50A Integrated amp and finally reaches my studio grade monitor speakers (used in nearfield mode). BTW I am typing this on a 10 year HP Desktop PC running Windows 7 (was there anything wrong with XP?) ...I still make a living from MS-Dos computer software ( that I wrote in the 80s).

At least with a big old fat casing - there is room for some decent sized speakers inside the 20 year old Panasonic telly... ...all you youngsters that have flatscreen TVs - seem to need to pay an extra £200 for a soundbar (so that you can actually hear what mumbling actors say). I don't even have a smartphone - my Nokia stays charged for about a month. Progress is overrated IMHO... ...maybe one day I'll get one of those new fangled Spinning Jennys!

Ah OK Virgin 991 that makes thing simpler... ...I am not worried about HD - I still have a Panasonic CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) TV with only Scart sockets!

How does this BBC Red Button malarkey work? I have Virgin TV and if I view BBC One and press the red button I get a menu with choices like iPlayer, Sport etc... ...but I can't see any reference to our game? Will it only appear shortly before 3pm? If I search the iPlayer for our game I only get an edition of Countryfile about Stoke-on-Trent!
