Sensi would've been well aware of the situation when he travelled over believing that he'd be in the right place to sign had the pieces fallen into place. Not that anyone should be concerned about his wasted time. He wasn't forced into spending a nice day out at Seagrave. There may've been a transfer out on the cards right up to the last minute. The club are not obliged to make any statement as they've never said they were ever attempting to sign him. It was all rumour, guesswork on socials and Enzo saying that he liked Sensi whilst acknowledging that a sale had to be made before any incoming. For all we know, Enzo was kept in the loop the whole time and fully understood the club were doing everything possible to get this done. He's not daft. As frustrating as it is for everyone involved, we must be in a better position with this outcome rather than having a points deduction hanging over us. I suspect the club (including Rudkin) have done the right thing.

You seem to believe there is a rift between Enzo and Rudkin. I don't know why fans need to back one or the other. Enzo has been made fully aware of the situation for weeks and has been telling us so. If the club can't shift senior pro's because no one wants them and consequently can't sign new players due to PSR then so be it. This is not unique to LCFC. We have no choice but to stay within the rules as it's clear what will happen if not. I don't see a club at loggerheads.

I don't see any serious hit. The signs suggest that Inter and Sensi would've known the situation before flying over and considered it a risk worth taking to be on site ready to sign had one of our senior pro's been sold. It doesn't mean that he's necessarily returned home offended by the outcome when in fact it might've have made him keen to return in the summer after viewing Seagrave and knowing how much he is wanted here.

I think that your analysis is most probably right. Clearly we couldn't sell those we wanted to (which sale fell through at the last minute?) but just wonder if a loan or two might've been enough to get the Sensi deal done. Dunno.

Of course he was. He's been saying for weeks that a player has to leave before anyone comes in. Sensi would've travelled in the knowledge that certain pieces of the puzzle had to be in place to make the deal.
