I think the biggest problem is he's playing next to a CB who just lets players walk past him, he often gets isolated and very little support from faes and vesty.
-
Biggest disappointment for me was bringing Bobby on the wing, he added nothing, I'd rather silko given a run.

Get this clown out of the team, another game, another goal where he should have done so much better.

Does this mean spurs can't take away fans to villa park?

Premier League has charged LCFC with an alleged breach of PSR
RobHawk replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
The fact that Sheffield Wednesday are about to have a winding up order shows that psr is nonsense. If we had all the other nonsense but it meant clubs could not go out of business, that's because something. But it guarantees nothing except the big clubs can keep spending and keep the smaller clubs down. It's all nonsense -
In 2015/16 at this stage of the season we were 4th. We came back from the international break and drew 2-2 with Southampton. My point is, we were very happy with how things were going back in 15/16 but we weren't looking like we would go on and win the league. Performances werent title worthy, we couldn't keep a clean sheet and Claudio was still working out his best team. We know what happened next. I'm not saying that this will happen again, but I'm saying it's too early to write us off just yet. Marti is still working out his best team, if he can get the team right and it clicks, we can still walk away with the league. I believe based on the game at Swansea, that we are improving and there's more to come from the team.

All I could think reading this was ..... I miss big nig ðŸ˜

By my memory, this was the only time he was beat throughout the game. It's a good pass and the forward has momentum. I don't think his positioning is wrong tbh, sometimes forwards get the better of defenders. If he was faster, sure he could have been closer. But he kept going and didn't slide in and give away a penalty. If you wanna be really picky, I'd say monga should have been squarer so that pass couldn't be made and vestergard should have dealt with the cross. But back to my point, if that's the only time he's beaten by the attacker all game, he's not done too bad.

After getting over the fact he sounds like Joe lycett, that was a banging video TBF.

I read this earlier on BBC as I wondered the same: Elite athletes are disproportionately affected by MND, with a study of Italian footballers suggesting the rate of the disease is up to six times higher than in the general population. It is thought that by limiting the oxygen available and causing damage to motor neurone cells, regular, strenuous exercise can trigger the disease in those already genetically susceptible.
-
Great player, England and Tigers legend, very sad thing to be waking up to today. MND is an absolute ****er and all

Stephen Clemance also former LCFC

I watched him closely on Saturday, first game I've got to in a while and he gets some pelters on here. I thought he had a great game. Solid defensively, I think he was only beaten once down his side. Got stuck in with a bit of bite, 2 professional fouls led to a booking, good going forward and a few good deliveries including the one that led to the third goal. Local boy to boot, chuffed for the lad and long may it continue.

I really like Marti, thought he got it spot on today and he's learning with the players he's got what is his best team. Only question marks for me are the complete lack of Ben Nelson in the team. We really need to be investing in someone of his talent. Second is the form of mavididi. He's probably in the worst form his been in since he joined the club so why is Martin getting less out of him compared to other managers? Other than that, it's a work in progress for sure but we are generally improving.

So as an specific example of how he makes us a better team, in today's game, first half especially, there was a few times where he ran the channels and gave us an out ball. Got us much higher up the pitch and allowed us much more control. We don't have any other striker that offers that. Do I think he's the best striker in the division, hell no, but I do think he's the best we have. Rather him than Ayew or carranza based on what I've seen so far.

He's getting better, more comfortable with the level. His next step is to turn all that danger he poses into actual goals and assists. It will come with more games

Swansea 1-3 LCFC, post match thread

Forgot to add earlier, credit to Jakub today, deserved a clean sheet, solid throughout and one worldie. Very good game again -
He was far from shocking, he wasn't great but he did a good job today and the team is better with him there

I was in the Swansea end, the faes challenge was right in front of me, never a penalty. There's no way the ref can be sure from the angle he's at so should never have given it. Swansea fans around me couldn't believe it was given. JJ gonna be a huge difference this season. He was probably my motm, broke the lines well, great goal too. Was really happy with daka first half, thought he did well, and having him as an out down the channels really played to our advantage. Couldn't see so well second half from where I was. Luke Thomas had a great game for me as well. Gave it out a bit, was much better at looking to play the ball forward and was solid defensively. Overall thought we deserved it, nice to see us lose that equaliser and turn it back in our favour. My mate who's a Swansea fan thought we were class. I wouldn't go that far but much better over the full 90 from the lads -
Seems really deep for Terry Wogan 🤣

I wrote a long post detailing my thoughts on a lot of issues, looks like it didn't meet forum guidelines as it's not been posted, apologies for that. Crux of the post was shouldn't we all call out all the bad things regardless of who does them or what side we are on. Bad things are bad things regardless who does them.

I don't know about security guards in mosques tbh, but it was only a few years ago there was the Finsbury park attack which was on a par with this. I'm not trying to belittle what Jewish people have to go through, again I don't know the details but ultimately Im about everyone being able to do their own thing, safely and for us all to just be a bit nicer and get along better. I may be ignorant to their struggles right now, but I'm happy to listen. Personally, I don't believe in religion, I think it is a construct to control a populace and does far more harm than good. But if somebody else wants to believe in god, that's up to them. Don't know why we can't all act with a little more love and alot less hate regardless of what or who you believe in.

Do we know the attacker in Manchester was a Muslim? I've not seen anything to confirm that?
-
This is the massive problem, Israel Vs Palestine does/should not equate to Jews Vs Muslims. Of course there's correlation between the two, but I was chatting to a buddy of mine who thoroughly condemned this attack. His point was that mosques are targeted just as much if not.more.in this country so they understood how abhorrent this attack is. And whilst he is very anti Israel, he does not hold that against the Jewish community in the UK. I can't say this is the view that would be widely shared (I don't know), but surely we should be looking to come together and not sow more seeds of division. Just had a quick Google and found this straight away: https://didsburymosque.org/a-statement-from-didsbury-mosque-condemning-the-attack-outside-a-manchester-synagogue

He wasn't great, but he's young and will get better. He needs to play and is good enough for this level. I'd rather invest in Nelson and allow him the time and the mistakes so he can grow and improve over playing either of our CB pairings. Personally, I'd play him with vesty, faes will be gone come June so let him fill in when we need him.
