Another one for settlers, watched it last night and it's very good, nice to have Louis back doing what he does best. Shows just how mad it is over there, when you've got a guy born and raised in Texas claiming it's his land because of his religion. Also the fact you have some Israelis actually demonstrating against the settlements, shows it's not all Israelis but that it really is a cooking pot of absolute madness. The conditions the Palestinians have to live under is outrageous and it's clear that even for the most pious Jews, it's all about racism and not religion.

The meat is on the BBQ First leaning curve, use less charcoal, the BBQ was way too hot and I had to take some lit coals out to get it down to temperature. I also bought wood chips by accident instead of chunks, so I'm having to make do from a smoking point of view. Also really glad I bought a thermometer that had a probe extension, allowed me to see the tempature of where the meat will sit rather than the thermometer on the BBQ which is above the coals. Made it much easier to get that starting temp right

Picking up a second hand Weber master touch off Facebook tonight, it's only been used twice, looks like new. I've ordered a few extra bits off Amazon (including Weber briquettes), I'm off Thursday so looking to do my first slow roast, going for pulled pork. Genuinely excited to get this bad boy up and running.

I had Ben winning, but it was close. Never a Eubank win by 4 rounds in my eyes. Good fight though, better than I expected and nice to see both fighters graceful in both victory and defeat

All done on the plumbing side, will let it dry a bit before replacing the plasterboard. Was very easy job, much easier than the old school brass π€£ Thanks to @jgtukand @The Year Of The Fox for the guidance. Very much appreciated, made the job even easierπͺπͺ Sort the roof out next weekend if the weather's ok π€

A more pressing concern at the moment, I noticed the pressure on my boiler was running low far too regularly so realised there was a good chance of a leak somewhere. Searched the house high and low, all the rads, toilets and sinks and could find nothing and then randomly found a wet patch on the wall behind the curtain in the living room. I've cut a hole in the wall and found the pipe that feeds the radiator is leaking. It actually looks like the nail from the stud wall has gone into the pipe, the house is 12 years old so assume it took minor damage at the time that's finally escalated to issue. Now I need to look at fixing the pipe. No point just trying to patch it up in my eyes, so need to replace the section. So for any plumbers on here, is there an easy way to cut a section out and replace with fresh pipe without having to replace a large segment of pipe? It's behind the wall so don't wanna rip it all out if I can help it. If it was an old brass pipe I could fix it, but what little plumbing skills I have are a bit old school for this modern pipe π€£

Thank you so much, I did look on Google but didn't even know what it was called. Plastic bit by the roof didn't bring up much info π€£π€£π€£

I've been loving chuds BBQ, thank you for the recommendation, so much so it's got me leaning towards a Weber kettle, I like the look of the Weber smokey mountain too. I feel like I've learnt so much already, looking forward to getting stuck in and actually cooking something now. Gonna keep an eye and see if anything comes up on Facebook marketplace local to me.

Anybody got any experience with roofs? Noticed some damage today, assume it's from over the winter. Just wondering if it's as easy as getting a replacement and fixing it in, whether I'd have to take the whole row out and reset the whole row, or if it's a much bigger job I'd need to get a roofer in for.

I'm defo looking at the cheaper end of the price spectrum to begin with. I'm not massive into cooking but I am eating π€£ so I'm defo looking for a starter to see how I get on with it. Defo looking at charcoal and I like the look of a drum but I'm still trying to work it out. Any recommendations for channels on YouTube worth following?

Looking at getting into smoking some meats and getting my first smoker BBQ. Just wondered if anybody out there is into smoking and can provide some top tips on what to look for when looking for my first budget friendly smoker.

Is this even a debate?

I watched the Irish and a bit of the Canadian version of lol. I can comprehensively say, that whilst it's a great premise, the UK version was so good because of who was in there, the line up was Stella. Would have to go all out for another top lineup for season two otherwise, it will be ok, but nowhere near as good as what we all just witnessed

I'm a bit on the young side to worry about my prostrate yet, but just wanted to chip in and say how thoroughly interesting the thread has been and great that we all feel we can talk and share our experiences. Not something is blokes are always great at! Well done chaps πππͺπͺ

I'm never one to advocate cutting benefits, but I also don't think the current benefit system is fit for purpose. Personally I blame that on previous governments as all of the support mechanisms for getting people back to work were scrapped in the name of austerity. It left countless people trapped in a black hole, with no way of getting out. From what I've seen, they want to reinvest some of the money they hope to save to reintroduce those support mechanisms. Help people get back into work and ensure we don't see this cycle of kids leaving school and going straight onto benefits with no hope of everything working. There does like there will be some pain to the changes to PIP, I don't know enough about this to really comment but those at the lower end may now lose out. Whilst those with a lifelong disability will no longer be required to be reassessed. As for Ukraine, I don't see how our country can't help them, national security for us and the EU is pretty important. I don't believe it's as simple as one or the other, there has to be balance. I still think they are missing a trick by not introducing a wealth tax, and I think that could generate more income for the country, but the benefits system would still need reform and it certainly wouldn't solve everything. At this stage, let's give them a chance and see how it pans out.

I didn't even realise until after I watched it that adolescence episodes were shot in one take. How they choreographed that I have no idea but particularly episode two in the school, something else with all those people about. But it just makes the acting all the more extraordinary and I think actually really adds to the tension as it builds. The police raid in episode 1 was like a documentary, you really felt like you were there. Then the tension in episode three is insane. I don't wanna say too much to spoil it for others but it's the kind of TV that stays with you

Adolescence - really interesting 4 part series. Stephen Graham is amazing as always. Well worth a watch!
