Leicester City For Sale (Ongoing Thread)

I'd be more worried about a couple of hundred job losses rather than a 12 point deduction. Some people seem to forget the human side of this. -
Leicester City For Sale (Ongoing Thread)

Wouldn't the sensible route for any investor be buying the infrastructure, giving Top and co the funds to carry on to see how it plays out this season. We get promoted, Top gets a fair price for the club, we stay down or worse and the investor picks the club up for next to nothing. -
Shot and pushed into a canal, but made a miraculous recovery under Enzo, I currently feel like Rudkin and Top are finishing me off with a doorstop.
-
Well you may be right, I was told that there were players who might otherwise have stayed, who departed as they were not buying into his philosophy or methods.
-
Absolutely right. I admit I had no idea or interest in him until he was rumoured to be joining us. The reaction here was almost entirety negative (cue the foxestalk is negative reply). Rangers fans have to realise that we the fans didn't appoint him, and our club is run by total idiots.
-
We also won the League after Nigel Pearson left.
-
We're also the golden goose for shit players, I'm sure this latest turnover over players will just be Rudkin and co starting the cycle of getting stuck with overplayed players all over again.
-
I knew little about him, but it appears that those who were so against him take the win.
-
From his first game I knew he wasn't up to it. Several people who seem to think they can see something in football that us mere mortals can't have tried to convince me he is decent. He isn't.

Well done LCFC on a commendable transfer window

Well let's judge it over the length of the deals rather than over 4 games. I wouldn't want the judge RM over 4 games so this shouldn't be any different. -
Sitting one place above the relegation zone in League One on goal difference and still apparently doing a good job.

28 wins needed from 43 now.

I think they both got sent off didn't they?

Home and Away Support/Atmosphere

Are they still playing the motivational videos for the away fans? -
No one knows how close we are or if it will happen at all, but I think it has been well demonstrated on numerous occasions that the club is more than capable of downright stupidity.
-
They'll be a lot lower wages than what has left. Like I said it's a calculated gamble, absolutely no point in signing players who have zero chance of getting us out of the league in an upwards direction or relying on 6-7 more academy players.
-
Who knows how close we are the administration. If KP are no longer prepared to put money in then the funds we're raising through player sales will be plugging the cashflow black hole, how long that lasts is anyone's guess. When the bills stop getting paid is when the real trouble starts. As regards us still signing players, we have to, else the game is up. It's a calculated gamble, get the high earners away and gamble on low earners to get us out of the league.

Since football began Bromley and Mansfield have never been above us in a League table until today. I'm not sure on MK Dons?
-
The first time I saw it happen was the F#rest Cup game, he was clearly being targeted for the press, yet here we are over 3 1/2 years later.

How are we favourites to win the League?
Vestan Pance replied to ourla's topic in Leicester City Forum
We have a better chance now than we had 10 days ago certainly. We had a few young players back then but we also had Dyer, Fryatt, Howard and King who bagged 60 odd goals between them. Scoring will make or break the season. -
Russell Martin - Confirmed as First Team Manager

I sat down to watch it in Sky with a feeling of anticipation, thinking I'm looking forward to going to a few games after jacking it in last season, meet up with a few mates and get back into it. All that was today was a reminded of why after 42 years I stopped going. The style of play is not inspiring in the slightest. I wish us well, and hope for promotion, the football will hopefully improve, but there was nothing to get us excited at all today. -
I don't think the super fans have forgotten, they just think the plummet is the supporters fault, and nothing to do with it being badly run😂

How do we rate the competition (league 1)

Charlton, Birmingham and Wrexham did ok. -
How do we rate the competition (league 1)
Vestan Pance replied to Lambert09's topic in Leicester City Forum
I'd say there's not much at all between the bottom half of the Championship and the top half of League One. Unless we see a vast improvement and players coming in, the main competitors will be all of them. -
At this stage I'd be happy with mid table, which for the club will be a disaster. I've watched a lot of League One, and the thing that strikes me is how solid and established the vast majority of the teams are. Just take a club like Mansfield and you'll see a strong well run club that knows how to trade players. These teams are no mugs as we saw them run Arsenal close last season. I think many are underestimating the task we're taking on. If we look back at the Pearson squad that won League one, it's night and day compared to what we have now, so unless we go out and buy 7-8 players in the next few weeks we certainly won't be running away with it and gaining 100+ points.
