  1. Please don’t laugh we all no what’s coming 😭
  2. I don’t think there is any strategy we’re actively employing now. Perhaps because of a Brexit taking away the freedom of movement? it’s pretty pointless tbh, not that i agree with signing this player for the sake of it but there doesn’t seem to be any usefulness to us as a club. Maybe they don’t want to be a feeder club to a poorly run yo yo club.
  3. It makes you sick that way of playing, it clearly works, when you’re competing against the big spenders you can’t buy a team that can out play with success in long term. Counter attacking at pace and you don’t need the most expensive technical players that cost the earth.
  4. I would back up the fact that they don’t really know a lot, it’s an account of conjecture. But it’s pretty obvious from Leicester’s perspective the PSR issue isn’t over.
  5. And the only one’s truly to blame, ourselves.
  6. A pointless last minute signing which we’re now lumbered with, brilliant foresight from those responsible for our transfer policy. 🤣 There is no joined up thinking whatsoever.
  7. The fact the actual Palace manager has recently spoke about Edouard in not so glowing terms basically means Palace aren’t recalling him. I’d imagine we would have to pay them money to even consider doing so. This scenario epitomises the incompetence of how we deal with transfers.
  8. If your strategy is to leave it to the last week / day to get a cheaper deal then you’ve already made a mistake You can with good planning and communication with the selling club sign players at anytime. Lots of clubs do it but expect to pay more. It’s the same in the summer window but it has everything to do with the people responsible for the recruitment and we’re led to believe JR has been away. It’s been the same repeated process for many years now and it’s clear not working.
  9. Sunderland have since their current ownership took the reins really have changed their approach, to recruitment especially, stats based targeting young players on the up. They’ve been doing very well and making a fortune while still retaining a competitive squad. Everything we’re not and we’re everything they were a few years ago.
  10. Puel certainly wasn’t the brains behind the stats based recruitment that led to huge success, that was his predecessors. Yes since Puel we then allowed managers to go away from that (Remember diabatè) and it’s generally been shite. And that’s why it is the on hierarchy, they became complacent and as good staff left, incompetent and unaccountable.
  11. Think you’re right, there are too many on here that have a complete melt down when anything remotely negative happens. You’re also right regards to JJ. One everyone will agree with is the fact at present JJ shouldn’t be anywhere near the 1st team. For both the team’s survival and probably his long term mental health.
  12. Sounds like James Justin’s Dutch cousin.
  13. Lots posted tonight just highlighting his direct culpability, it is horrendous and if nothing changes he will relegate us. For balance he isn’t the only problem and there is a lot long with our club full stop. If a RB isn’t our number one target RVN doesn’t stand a chance. Yes change the system at a push use Hamza (if he’s the answer we’re fxked) but the stats are terrible reading and it’s madness to keep doing the same thing.
  14. It’s inexcusable to not start Facundo over Ayew.
  15. Scored same amount as Facundo but assisted less. So we keep statistically the better player out. If you look at stats Facundo is one of the best forward players in the team Ayew isn’t. Even defensively Facundo is better. For example he’s won the most possession in final 3rd (just ahead of Kasey) out of any player, so we miss his tenacity. I don’t see what we lose by starting Facundo ahead Ayew. The latter isn’t a disaster by any means but the fact he’s starting I don’t see the logic.
  16. We all knew this would be the case. And yet we hear about the possibility of Okoli going out (numerous clubs) a complication of our brilliant DOF Rudkin being able to pull anything off in a notoriously difficult and expensive window. It’s all depressing and we’ll no doubt be told it’s complicated or we need to sell to bring in, after being told we’re looking to bring players in at least that’s what RVN seems to believe. You’d think the club wouldn’t do what they did with Enzo again with a manager that fell out with the hierarchy at PSV. The club finds itself in this position because we’re not organised and those in charge are just incompetent. Yes it’s early days but we again sit here and see the likes of Ipswich going for our previous targets in positions we’re need recruitment in.
  17. When your staring at relegation everything is a gamble. Cooper’s proven premiership experience hasn’t worked. The club should gamble on players like this..
  18. I don’t get this argument. Brighton have a good track record with players and Ferguson has already shown a lot of potential and it would seem he has fallen out of the plans for current manager and lost a bit of form. We would never sign anyone if the logic is every player a selling club sells must be rubbish. That doesn’t make sense and there could be numerous reasons for a sale , take financial PSR for example. He may have been highlighted by the recruitment analysis that his strengths will be a huge asset to us and they believe that the player could find form again utilising the strengths they’ve seen. Sometimes the market will dictate you take chances on outliers, players out of form or deemed past it. Some in our fan base questioned Mads, too small and BEK too much for a player from an inferior league who doesn’t score or assist. Recruiting these have been spot on and clearly the average fan won’t see what recruitment team will see. Like with anything it’s risk, some come off and some they don’t.
  19. It can’t happen any other way. If we had to sell first then they’ll have lied to Ruud and we’ll not be signing another player. We could only sell the likes of Mads and Bilal (the rest are shite) and what would the point of that be. The club have to spend some money in key areas and no fcking about in the last week of window. Based on what happens with this hierarchy it’s all too much to get in done and we’ll see a lot of huff and puff with the targets we want not coming in. Maybe too pessimistic!
  20. There doesn’t seem to be any urgency in bringing players in either. While I could be wrong. It would seem the end of the window tactic where they believe better value can be had, which never works that way for us. And it’s not like we’re desperate.
  21. Who don’t have anyone else. Right back should be our number one target to get in on January the 1st. The biggest but not only issue defensively. Having said that Hamza can’t be blamed for Haaland being unmarked centrally.
  22. Yep he starts
