  1. Buy a subscription to IPTV and follow instructions to download software. Done.
  2. Arrrrrgh That is all
  3. I binned Twitter so unable to unfortunately. I can probably guess based on his previous…
  4. Ahh, I did mishear, it’s 3% the BBC quoted
  5. Read the articles and then fact check them. Not credible at all.
  6. According to the BBC news report, the “small boats” account for only 0.3% of the total migration figure stated today. Maybe someone can confirm this figure as I may have misheard
  7. I was mostly referring to the Shifa hospital but as you’ve googled links - times of Israel is definitely not a publication I would trust, that article is cherry picking and misleading. The second link is the unrwa and has a footnote if you actually read the article - AFTERNOTE UNRWA Jabalia Elementary “C” and Ayyobiya Boys School on 22 July 2014 The Secretary-General convened a UN HQ Board of Inquiry (BOI) on 10 November 2014 in order to investigate a number of incidents between 8 July and 26 August 2014 affecting or involving United Nations personnel, premises and operations, including the report of the presence of weaponry at this school. The Secretary-General released a summary of the BOI report on 27 April 2015 (S/2015/286). The summary indicates that the items found were not rockets; the Board concluded that it was highly likely that a Palestinian armed group might have used the premises to hide weapons but was unable to confirm with certainty what type of weapon might have been hidden at the school. The third link is unwatch, a right wing organisation: “According to Sourcewatch, the UN Watch lobby is for the removal of UN personnel who are considered critical of Israel: “US calls for resignation of UN’s Richard Falk Special rapporteur for Palestinian territories said NGO UN Watch should be investigated to ensure it’s not controlled by Israel” Further, according to Sourcewatch, UN Watch also is funded by the American Jewish Committee since 2001. None of these have anything to do with the UN and if anything you’ve just proven my point about Israel and its supporters manipulating news etc.
  8. It’s never been a secret. Is there any evidence of Hamas using them in the past? Israel has consistently used the excuses of command centres, human shields, weapon strongholds etc. for years and never provided any evidence. They carried out a missile attack on a tower block full of civilians and foreign journalists a few years ago with the excuse that it contained “military interests of Hamas intelligence” but never provided any proof. They’ve committed war crimes again and again for years but the world stands by, wrings its hands and moves on. I really hope there will be some intervention soon and the current leaders of both regimes are held accountable. Until then, there will never be peace in Palestine.
  9. Still not seen any evidence of bunkers linked across the city or a sniff of a command centre.
  10. Check the rings/burners are correctly in place and you’ve dried it properly
  11. I’ve already advised this. She’s self employed and they have a ‘family’ accountant and wants to see her first. As the executor I’m already doing more than I really want to. They’re my wife’s relatives so I’m sort of stuck with it 😂
  12. I’m dealing with three people at the moment and none qualify. They are all including at least one other person in the will besides their spouse so are subject to the threshold of £500,000 or £325,000 One is leaving mostly everything to his daughter with the proviso that his spouse (second wife) will reside in the marital home until death so the daughter will have an immediate iht bill of £98,000 on his death but she won’t have the property until her step mum dies. Saw a solicitor yesterday who has given some advice to reduce the bill but have to meet with her accountant next week. Nightmare
  13. OK, Those are specific circumstances which not many will qualify for and is dependant on the deceased owning only one property, leaving their whole estate to a spouse on death and then that person also leaving to a direct decendant (I think!). If the will is split to include anyone else then the threshold reverts to £325000 or £500000 depending on the relationship to the deceased. I'm not clued up on this but have been looking with interest as I have been made executor by three different people who are also scratching their heads. It becomes more complicated (or at least more expensive) when estates are split by percentage to non family members, unless leaving to a charity.
  14. Where do you get the £1 million figure from? Standard threshold is £325000 or £500000 for direct descendants isn’t it? Not arguing, just what I believed happened recently with a friend.
  15. Bloody hell, how sad… Reminded me of Hanif Kureishi, author of My Beautiful Laundrette, had a stroke last Christmas and now a paraplegic in a hospice, also writes a blog.
  16. Because Covid can still cause vulnerable people severe illness or death.
  17. Did you do a Covid test? Hope you feel better soon 👍
  18. How did you manage to get antivirals, I’ve heard of quite vulnerable people struggling to get them promptly or at all.
  19. His teachers and fellow pupils have apparently confirmed his allegiance to the National Front and that his hero was Oswald Mosley at that time. I’ve no idea why anyone would give him any air time at all. Then again, I’ve never seen even 10 seconds of I’m a Celebrity.

    Dogs

Apologies if I sounded rude, I just don't believe that banning is the way forward for the recognised breeds mentioned in the thread. The answer (imo) is the regulation of owners and protection of the animals to stop idiot owners, at the very least, from not caring for them properly and at worst, using them as a weapon. Regulation, assessments and licensing would not only stop the issues around dangerous dogs but would hopefully reduce the overall numbers out there (many in shelters or strays). I think the same rules should apply to cats btw. I'm not coming into this as an angry mastiff/staffie owner as I've had many other breeds, some short term and some over their lifetime ( I used to help a local shelter when overcrowded by taking some home).
  21. He also wants to ban abortion, loosen gun laws, scrap their currency and take on the Dollar. I read yesterday that 40% of Argentinians are in poverty 🙁
  22. The thing is, the Palestinians have an Israeli boot on their neck and their hands are bound by Hamas. The people I know have relatives who have been in refugee camps for more than 20 years after being dispossessed of their homes and land. Israel has been committing crime after crime in full view of the rest of the world without any sanction or consequence apart from some harsh words from the UN, Amnesty International and other humanitarian organisations. Hamas are a big problem but they’re not THE problem.
  23. Agreed, it’s increasingly difficult to know what’s really happening. There are lots of people on the ground in Gaza, hospital workers, aid agencies and other volunteers but it’s difficult to hear their voices through mainstream channels but I know from experience that the current Israeli government are horrendous and the IDF have a long history of denial and cover ups. I disregard anything that comes from Hamas representatives- they do not represent the Palestinian community at all.
