I donβt even lock the doors to the house and often leave the keys in my car, tractor and quad bike π

Same. It was the Mozart fest when I went, some anniversary or other so my visit was pretty much dominated by that. Oh, and I was mugged by the train station.

I have a mate whoβs full of this stuff, like the love child of Susie Dent and Stephen Fry. Drives me bonkers when he has a drink π

I have friends who have lived in the same house for 30 yearsand every year they talk about moving/upgrading - they never did though and they're full of regret for not acting all those years ago. (I've moved 5 times in that same period). Anyway, you've nothing to lose by viewing. Procrastination is the thief of time.

That's a cheap way to go if you're able to take on those tasks yourself. I've saved 10's of thousands doing work myself and I know the quality of the work is top notch too. It's difficult in my area to find builders, never mind good ones though! Anyway, @Lako42, I'd put together a rough plan of what you want and find a builder to have a look and give you an idea of price. I still think you're looking at Β£60k + Good luck
-
I would say a good Β£60k minimum but prices vary so much for location too. If youβre in the south east you can easily be looking at Β£80k minimum.
-
Dependant on so many things, you really need to speak a local builder who will help out with pricing. The variables are massive - how many sq mtrs, brick, block, stone, electrics, plumbing, drainage, single or double storey etc.
-
Sounds perfect, good luck π€

Going through similar atm although not had your diagnosis. Keep talking about it too, so many of us are too inhibited to address things until the symptoms are bad. I hope everything goes well. Good luck.

I think on balance that one of the two have wreaked far more damage globally than the other.

Kudos to you for bothering with this π

When you travel, leave passport in hotel or take with you?

Purse with cash, sun cream, bottle of water and a small make up bag I think. Was a while ago though. That same week our car was broken into, stereo gone and a few small items from the glove box. Car still locked and no sign of entry. Same beach front. -

FWIW, her passport and credit cards were safe in our apartment on this occasion π
