Don't imagine it's a coincidence this link came out just as the Soule deal looked to be collapsing. Not sure he improves our first team significantly but will definitely improve the squad a lot and will probably make 30+ appearances this season injuries permitting.

Funny one last night. On one hand there were positives; we looked a bit more attack minded, certain players looked sharp, it was at least exciting to watch until the raft of changes nullified the game. On the other hand there were clear things that need working on. Personally I couldn't see a clear style or pattern of play, there were players out of position, Okoli in particular looked ill equipped on the ball. Plenty of time on the training ground to address some of these and the squad needs some changes. Overall can't decide if it's raised or lowered my optimism for the season!

For all the slight limitations to McAteers game, finishing definitely isn't one of them.
