  1. FFS, this is not what we needed at all. If Enzo goes, arguably we need to rethink our transfer targets, I'd have thought, when we need to have a very very good summer to hit the ground running with a points deduction. One way or another, consistency and buy in will be key this coming season. No ****ing about.
  2. In fairness to Crawley, their stadium fits 6,134, and they sold 16,000 tickets...that's not too bad!
  3. Ah that's annoying. Where have you seen that link?
  4. They have had a horrendous record of injuries this season. And a few signings (Mahmoud Dahoud, for example) stepped outside their model and...didn't work. De Zerbi wanted more established players (mid-20s, proven) but Brighton as a club hierarchy didn't want to, which sadly does seem to have been proven correct. They are a very well run club, so credit where it's due. They may well run out of steam like we did, but they're far better set up than we are behind the scenes.
  5. That would be such an odd signing, and I do think a loss to us. That come from one of their ITKs I take it?
  6. See, I had almost warmed to the idea of Southampton coming up with us...but then I saw Rishi in the stands. And immediately I am immensely conflicted.
  7. I know very little about him, but if he matches what we're looking for then signing him as second choice and loaning our Jakub to get some more first team experience wouldn't be a terrible idea. Not signing him for £15m though, that's a daft idea given we need to focus on bringing in players for other areas of the pitch.
  8. They have a lot of players out on loan which I'm presuming they are hoping to sell. I'd imagine that's where a good chunk of that money would be made up. And those are decent players rather than our need to get rid of fringe players.
  9. Credit to Leeds and Farke, they've turned up when it matters. Disappointing from Wagner and Norwich. Who ends up facing Leeds will be interesting. Could well be 3rd v 4th!
  10. Absolutely. 6 goals in 8 games this Eliteserien season for Grønbæk now. He's going to start catching a lot of clubs' attention if he isn't already. Nanasi is on 4 goals and 6 assists in his past 5 league games now too.
  11. Update: 50 minutes gone in the game against Tromsø this eve, Grønbæk has already scored twice.
  12. We were linked with Theate back in 2022, before he moved from Bologna to Rennes. Wouldn't be surprised if that interest is reignited should the price be right.
  13. I like him a lot, and think he'd be good in our system. But anything over £7m ish is a no for me. He'd have no resale value whatsoever, and just be a stop gap ultimately.
  14. I have a funny feeling he'll come good for us. From the very little we've managed to see if him, he showed bits that suggest he could be a good hybrid of a target man, runner in behind, and a striker happy to drop deep. Maybe I'm projecting my hopes for him too much, but he is very young, and has Vardy to learn from... I think he just needs game time to develop as a lone striker—whether with us, or on loan at a top half Championship club next season. And the priority has to be him getting game time, IMHO.
  15. Just your friendly neighbourhood Scandi Football Scout Watch: Grønbæk scored twice last night Nanasi just assisted a goal this eve Yes, I am determined to manifest the hell out of these two coming to us 🤞🏻
  16. Part of the reason Jobe went there is because some coaches who worked with at Birmingham—and he's close with—were already there I believe. I don't think he'll move again anytime soon. I do think he is potentially a very decent player in his own right, regardless of being Jude's brother. He's consciously tried to separate the two of them with the change of name on his shirt too, so certainly not trying to ride the coat tails of his older brother.
  17. No, but good shout on that one! I'm talking years before that. Maddison would have been with them Cov still I think. Might have been around FM2010 or so. Grant Holt, West Hoolahan, Russell Martin(!), Owain Tudur Jones...that sort of era. Long story short, took Leicester up in the first season, sacked outside the relegation zone, chose to drop down to League One with Norwich and took them up with back to back promotions. No idea how I did it, as I'm rubbish at FM, but was a lot of fun!
  18. Got a soft spot for Norwich that goes back to my FM playing days and Wes Hoolahan. So gotta be them.
  19. Subbed on for Inter in the 75' minute of their match against Frosinone this evening. 77' minute, gets an assist.
  20. I'd avoid dealing with Chelsea where we can anyway to be honest, given their recent treatment of us with signings. Fofana was a farce, leaving us little time to sign a replacement, and then they recalled Casadei midway through the season...and proceeded to barely play him. Again, we struggled (and this time failed) to replace him.
  21. Oh I dunno, Crawley are still owned by a cryptocurrency firm I think 😅
  22. He's played 29 this season apparently.
  23. Nice find! Agreed, I get that from the video too. Kind of lanky but strong, and calm under pressure. Seems to be deceptively quick too. The chipped passes are quite interesting to see too.
  24. Here we go fellas, a new name out of nowhere (despite what that tweet and the original article say, I've not seen him mentioned before). Gotta love this hopeful part of the silly season 😁. Right-footed CB. 24 years old. Brazilian. 6' 2".
  25. Sunderland will snap him up, surely? Fits their needs to a tee.
