Any chance that NP will still be moved on?

Cheers guys...

So, IF we get relegated... Is he sacked on the spot? Failure to meet the target set along with all this off-the-field stuff?

No.

Yes our aim was to stay up, but it's clearly a very difficult thing to do. Ask Burnley and QPR.

His aim this season would of been to survive. If he does that I would and I think most fans would fully expect him to stay. It doesn't matter what he has done in the press, he will be judged on the performances on the pitch. Regarding the Albrighton situation do people really think its all down to him?! If you do then you really need to look into it more. Our change is down to the whole squad putting in the effort and playing as a team. During our baron run you could pick 5 or 6 players every week that wasn't playing to their full potential and were being carried. Now you can pick maybe one or two a week (no one can put in 100% effort every week) The turn in fortune comes from that late West Brom winner if you ask me. Vardy since that moment has been unplayable for me he is unique and no other team have anything like him. He covers so much more ground then any striker in the league for me a lot of it is down to him, he has put the effort in which has made Ulloa put the effort in and its gone through the whole team.

If you believe Rob Dorsett then Pearson was sacked by Top and then reinstated by Vichai a few hours later, resulting in Top ending up in a monastery for bad behaviour. I can't imagine Vichai (who clearly has the authority) is going to boot Pearson out after overruling his own son and having to reconcile with Pearson, now that we are looking successful.

Pearson has never said a bad word about the owners or any of the staff in public which is probably far more important than an argument with a press reporter and touchline spat. I really don't think Pearson is going anywhere. Form is far more important than a historic bad run.

I thought it was the other way round - ie, Vichai sacked him but Top talked him out of it?

I'm hazarding a guess at the other version... Top ending up as a monk with shaved head and eyebrows is no coincidence. lol

Top convinced his Dad to keep Nige as there was no candidate of sufficient quality at the time to replace him.

This is why I am still concerned that Vichai will still move him on...

Pretty much agree with this. If he banished his own son to be a monk because he tried to oust NP then he isn't going anywhere soon.

Presuming we stay up I can't wait to see him take us on again as he has done in all his 5 full seasons at the club previous.

If you are going to guess at least say it's a guess.

I think the squad have always put 100% effort in through-out the season.

What’s changed is the formation.  The 541 or 342 whatever has really played to our players’ strengths.

Team selection. No more Upson ahead of Was. No more Vardy as a winger, no more Simpson or Konch as wing-backs (except to cover injury). No more Tom Lawrence instead of Albrighton. No more  Matty James as attacking midfielder and taking set-pieces. No more Schwarzer.

Secondly, the inclusion of Huth. Defensively we are so much more resilient.

Finally Vardy. He’s been amazing the last few games (when played in his correct position).

Pearson has done amazing with this turn-around. But it does make you wonder why it took him so long to correct the glaring shortcomings of the side.

I'm not entirely sure what the personal problem was, but Albrighton wasn't playing for reasons away from football and there really was no fall out. That's one thing I know as fact.

They will be advised by football people who will probably overlook off-the-field... But then again, the Albrighton thing is weird:

Alienated by NP for his Mrs tweet... City win none of 6 games.

Finally given reprieve by NP... City win 5 out of 6 games!!

Would they think that his personality issues could affect on-the-field too???

Albrighton was left out due to concerns over his stamina over 90 minutes. He's gotta fitter and is now chosen.

I really don't think Pearson would be taking too much notice of players family. After the Gallagher situation, I'd certainly support Nige with his dealings of players with personal problems.

This bit is concerning, I agree...

I got the impresson Pearson didn't think he was fit enough.

Thinking about it, if you remember the Marc Albrighton who played away at Chelsea early in the season, and his powder-puff tackle that let Chelsea in for their goal?

Compare him to the player we’ve got now.  It’s a different man.

Whatever way you look at it, that’s a hell of a transformation job Pearson has done.

Bar bullard, most of his ex players have nice things to say about pearson and his man management. Probably why they give their all for him every week

If we end up going down, Pearson will still remain in the job IMO.

All this 'Thai Culture' at the end of the day they are businessmen who are in fact, very successful businessmen, regardless of where they come from.

Pearson is the best man for the job, he got us to where we are now pretty much single handily. He didn't spend a ridiculous amount of money, he bought in players that we could easily sell for more than we paid for them which is a huge thing for us as a club.

I hold my hat off highly to Pearson for what he has done for us, it could have easily gone wrong, and it still can but he seems to have found a system that is working and I (and the bookies) think we will do it.

If he was to get sacked at the end of the season it would be a dreadful move to make. He has gone toe to toe with some of the best managers in the world this season, at gave them all a good go with players who have been in their academys, players out of the lower leagues and talent that has come through our academy.

QPR are a prime example AGAIN of how easy it is to fail, ex premiership manager, loads of ex premiership players and loads of money spent.

We have young, hungry players who have a point to prove mixed with experience and it's all down to Nigel Pearson.

Again, during our spell where I didn't think he knew what to do up in the top tier and I thought at the time it wouldn't be the worst move to replace him and bring in a Pardew or Pulis. But we stuck with him and his proved all us doubters wrong and I will never doubt him again! He IS a premiership manager regardless of his antics. Brian Clough? Alex Fergie? Jose?

I think Pearson will move onto bigger things if we did sack him. He's the man to take us in the right direction and even if we do go down, he will get us up again and he will keep us here!!!

He may just, by the skin of his teeth, have sussed this league out in time!

if we stay up, i hope he stays, we suffered a bad run, as many teams do in the first prem season, but we were always in it and now we're being rewarded for our efforts, this is NP's team, and he could really build something. i previously called him a ****ing idiot after his press altercations, but i have come around to understand what he did, and i think its helped the team by taking away the focus from them. he knows what he is doing. Kramaric will be massive next season, should we remain a prem team.,

This!

It took me a while to understand his outbursts too but now I reckon it IS a stroke of genius! Like you said,it takws the focus from the team and if you look at the timing of each outburst, its easy to see why he didn't want the team getting the attention!

The F**ck off and die incident - came after the Liverpool game (I'm sure) which was one of our heaviest defeats of the season.

The McCarthur/Lineker spat - Came after a defeat to a Palace team amidst our horrendous run of games.

The Pr!ck debacle - happened immediately after the Hull game which was arguably our worst performance.

Ostrich-gate - after the Chelsea game which was ofcourse not a dreadfully result but could have easily have halted our momentum after a good run had the press heaped on the pressure.

I don't think the timing of these outbursts are coincidental and I truly believe that it IS outstanding man management in NP deflecting any unwanted attention/pressure on his team.

Or maybe we give him too much credit and does he just inplode when we lose!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ???

I take it from all your comments you don't like NP and you just want some one to agree with you?
