davieG Posted 3 September 2005 Posted 3 September 2005 Wales V's England     Where's the passion, the blood and thunder, if they're going to play pretty non-contact football at least let's have a bit of show-boating.
Fox 4 Life Posted 3 September 2005 Posted 3 September 2005 I have more chance of winning the lottery than we do of winning the World Cup after playing like that! Why do Lampard and Gerrard ALWAYS look SO average when they play for England??
Matt Posted 3 September 2005 Posted 3 September 2005 I didn't see the match because I was down my nans she has freeview so I had Sky Sports New but no match to watch, From what I saw of Danny Coyne i'm gutted we got rid of him because looking back on it, I know who i'd pick out of Rab Douglas and Danny Coyne
Cat Burger Posted 3 September 2005 Posted 3 September 2005 Went shopping in town and I went squares after to watch the game, after 20 minutes me and my mate decided to go KFC, why do people think we are one of the best teams in the world??
Gené and Tonic Posted 3 September 2005 Posted 3 September 2005 because we have world class players, but a poor manager.
davieG Posted 3 September 2005 Posted 3 September 2005 At one point we had 3 defenders, Carragher, Ferdinand and Cole on the half-way line and SEVEN players between the centre circle and the penalty circle all with in the width of the penalty area - what's that all about? Playing triangles in the middle of the pitch with 7 players is going to get us no-where. 451=shit

lush Posted 3 September 2005 Posted 3 September 2005 Thought we were a tad poor infront of goal. Has wales been at full strength, we`d have needed 2 or 3 to win. But 0-1 away at wales is ok. Young gave nevile (g) something to think about, i thought he was very good. Ferdinand was very cool at the back. Giggs was MOTM. Roll on a hat-full from owen on wednesday, he must be chumpin at the bit.
Thracian Posted 3 September 2005 Posted 3 September 2005 because we have world class players, but a poor manager. Sven should work in the theatre cos he can disguise even the most talented footballers as Joe Average. Either that or medicine: "I'm sorry to say this madam but you are going to die. Never mind, can't be helped. Take the pills four times a day and would you mind passing me that coffee while you're nearest..." How the hell he transforms himself into a stud beats me. He's to passion what The Yorkshire Ripper was to pacifism. I put up with 30 minutes of textbook, coaching manual football save for Hartson's header, Cole's extraordinary miss and his later deflected goal then I'd had enough. I went home for a drink of water cos it felt exciting. All the England shirts in the pub were discussing the merits and failings of their latest mobile phones and the landlord did a roaring trade cos when they paused for breath, they still didn't watch the football, but re-charged their glasses instead. I loved Jimmy Greaves' pre-match quote where he compared the approach to Wales in Sir Alf Ramsey's Day. "Sven goes for 4-5-1. We went for 1-5-4 to use it as shooting practise - and Wales were a good side then" Honestly, I don't think Sven would become animate if they gave him an enema. Wales versus England transformed into an advert for Pass the Parcel. What a treat.

Fox 4 Life Posted 3 September 2005 Posted 3 September 2005 Why? Owen is one of the best goalscoring strikers in the world! There is no point playin Rooney as the sole stirker as he spends most of his time in the midfield area!
lush Posted 3 September 2005 Posted 3 September 2005 Wales versus England transformed into an advert for Pass the Parcel. What a treat. Where can i buy it, im hooked
lush Posted 3 September 2005 Posted 3 September 2005 You're being sarcastic right? No, what with TWO strikers, and an even poorer team than wales, i expect a hat full, bowler hat full of course
Ultra Posted 4 September 2005 Posted 4 September 2005 At the end of the day we won the game and got the points. I'd have liked to have seen us win in style but the lazy overpaid f**kwits aren't gonna deliver that to us. Apart from Rooney, they don't give a monkey's about England, only their clubs. There isn't a lot Sven can do about attitudes like that!
Gené and Tonic Posted 4 September 2005 Posted 4 September 2005 But there is a lot Sam Allardyce can do about it!

Love to say that about Leicester, I've said it before and i'll say it again I don't care how we win, I don't mind if we play shit and get a scrappy goal as long as we win, obviously i'd love Leicester and England to play well and for the money the players are on they should put there heart and soul into the game but if we win I don't care how we win!
