NewquayFox Posted 19 August 2015 Posted 19 August 2015 After the first two games of this season all but 2 of our starting 11 are/have been full internationals, Albrighton & Drinkwater (have represented England at U/19 & U/21 levels) are the only 2 not with full honours, is this a record and can we hit the magic 11 internationals on the pitch at the same time..... Up the (international) City.....
jkFoxes23 Posted 19 August 2015 Posted 19 August 2015 that is an impressive stat. Really looking forward to Inler.
Swarles Barkley Posted 19 August 2015 Posted 19 August 2015 Kasper De laet was huth wes schlupp King inler Mahrez Shinji Vardy This will be the most likely. Kram and leo can also take the shinji role. Problem is the cm pairing with only king and inler our internationals
NewquayFox Posted 19 August 2015 Author Posted 19 August 2015 Looks a bloomin good team though Swarles.... Up the City....

fleckneymike Posted 19 August 2015 Posted 19 August 2015 Was that a starting line up Mike? Another great team..... Up the City..... Don't think it every took the field but we always had a squad which boasted 11 internationals.
NewquayFox Posted 19 August 2015 Author Posted 19 August 2015 Great days indeed.... Up the City......
urban.spaceman Posted 19 August 2015 Posted 19 August 2015 There's a few in the U21s too who play for er... Smaller nations - Stankevicius even played for Lithuania in a Euro 2016 qualifier at Wembley; Panayiotou plays for St Kitts and Nevis... I'm sure there more players who've been picked for more "obscure" national teams. As for the first team if Albrighton continues to impress and there are openings in that position I can see Hodgson picking him
fazzyfox Posted 19 August 2015 Posted 19 August 2015 Hard to imagine a few years ago but this summer we have lost three England internationals from our squad. Was hoping to have at least one match with Nugent and Vardy up front so we could claim to have an England International strikeforce (as we did with Phillips and Nugent).
NewquayFox Posted 19 August 2015 Author Posted 19 August 2015 Vardy & Albrighton, Hodgsons next squad... Up the City.....
EverybodyDannsNow Posted 20 August 2015 Posted 20 August 2015 Does anyone know when the England squad is announced for the games against San Marino and Switzerland? With Welbeck and Sturridge out, Ings sitting on the bench and Austin no longer in the Premier League, it looks like our man Vardy will be getting his second call up.

I'm struggling to think - when was the last time we had two internationals play against each other? Vardy vs inler could be the first in a long while...
Stuntman_Mike Posted 20 August 2015 Posted 20 August 2015 Even more impressive when you consider how many of our players are still international players..
