The Year Of The Fox

Vardy and England

Recommended Posts

The release has been leaked by either the club or his agent no one is denying it and it's the Times that ran it with no cavets , the story is written as fact

It would Be the right figure for a contract like his and his age

I was not saying I don't believe the story, more that I think we were foolish to even do this!

People don't half get there knickers in a twist over England and hodgson on here. Makes me laugh when i read 'oh if he picks x over y, then im done with England'. So dramatic lol.

If your support of your national team is so fickle then give it up now why wait.

Of course how players have performed for HIS England teams in the past is going to come into his thinking he's trying to build a settled team of players who he can trust and who he knows can perform specific roles and duties.

It can't be a constantly changing most in form 11 else we wouldn't get anywhere. I think Vardy will 100% be going don't forget Roy picked him last season when his return was 5 goals.

Other than that does Drinkwater deserve to go based on this season? Of course he does but is Danny a better player than a fully fit Jack Wilshire? (An oximoron i know) 100% no he is an unbelievable talent and if you argue otherwise you are either biassed or stupid.

If Wilshere comes back from injury before the end of the season and puts in barnstorming performances then fair enough but if he looks like a player who's just come off a season out injured or doesn't even get a game at all then he definitely shouldn't be in consideration when there are plenty decent English central mids this year who have done a job for their respective teams all season; Drinkwater, Barkley, Alli, and Noble for instance.

I'm sure SSN reporting that there isn't a release clause on Vardy's contract as being a negative to us. It's the complete opposite. As he can be 'not for sale' unless the owners want to sell. Where as once a release clause is triggered the club are obliged to let the player speak to any clubs who meet the clause value.

I know this is old news, and don't particularly wanna reignite the debate over it, but after a conversation with the family I just wanna unload somewhere about The Sun's hypocricy over Vardy's casino run-in last year.

If you recall, it was they, that most pious of newspapers that blew that tale out of proportion, took the moral high ground and tried to run his England career into the ground.

This particular Sun Columnist - a long time staffer at the paper - was not shy to attack Vardy, but I couldn't help picking out this corker...

Now now, Mr. Parsons. I understand your anger - in which case, I'd love to know why, if I google "Sun Jap", Vardy's tirade is only the third hit, amongst no less than THREE headlines your paper printed using the word? The most recent was 2006 - hardly ancient history. If it's not been acceptable since 1945, why on earth was your paper printing language which you clearly don't approve of so recently? You'd think they'd at least attempt to take these articles down before slinging sh*t of their own.

My Dad was a daily Sun reader in the past, but finally ditched it (thank fvck) when I showed him this back in September. They haven't even tried to take those stories down.

I'd urge any other Leicester fan who reads that rag to do the same. Print sh*t, get banged.
