MC Prussian Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Sunderland have joined the sniffathon Sauce?
davieG Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Talks between Leicester City’s Gokhan Inler and Hamburger SV have broken down, HSV24 Mopo have confirmed. The January window has saw the Swiss international captain linked with numerous clubs in the Bundesliga, namely Schalke and Werder Bremen. Die Roten’s interest in Inler was genuine. Inler, 31, is desperate to get first team action as he hopes to lead his side out at a major event. Switzerland will play Albania in their first game of Euro 2016 on June 11th.
murphy Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Always makes me smile when Inler and a while ago Fuchs ability was called into question. Two players, two Captains of their respective countries, vastly experienced, and on here you get people who played for Aylestone Under 16's saying they can't play!!!! That my friends is Foxestalk !, I don't think that anyone can argue that Inler has been a quality player but he is a player in decline. Napoli fans were saying it when he left and that seems to have been proven correct. We've been left with a has been on high wages.

Bamba's Babes Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 I don't believe it personally. We paid €7m??? on a three year deal. That averages €1.17m per six months he's cost us, there's no way we want nearly half his transfer fee back for a six month loan unless we're really trying it on. I imagine we'll be receptive to a deal as we only have 15 games left this season and have King, Amartey & James as cover for Drinkwater & Kante. If Amartey has impressed in training we'll be keener than ever to let him go. EVERYONE ELSE HAS TRIED IT ON WITH US.
Thracian Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 At the start Fuchs couldn't get any game time......love the line above Switzeland a very small football nation(??) Like on that basis Bale and Giggs are crap too.....point I am making he is obviously a world class footballer with real leadership qualities....we just haven't seen it yet.....if he did get a run, I am certain he would deliver.....can't argue with his non selection currently mind..... If he's a world class player with leadership qualities I can't wait to see some indication of it.
MC Prussian Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 If he's a world class player with leadership qualities I can't wait to see some indication of it. You could start by watching some Switzerland, Udinese or Napoli footage. In your time.
v6rat Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 For me, I just feel that he hasn't been able to come to terms with the pace of the Premier League, being given no time to control the ball and pick a pass has found him wanting.
Manwell Pablo Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 If he's a world class player with leadership qualities I can't wait to see some indication of it. He has been an excellent player throughout his career if you can't recognise that then that's a problem with your football knowledge not his ability. For us, in limited time, he hasn't looked particularly good granted. I guess that could change but he does seem to be tailing off at a fairly early stage of his career, happens to some players.

I've not seen the rest of his career, just his time at Leicester, which has been entirely forgetable. That said I'd be surprised if some of the iffy characteristics of his game weren't just as apparent in the past. For me his style is suited to the continent not The Premiership.
