gurru991 Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 Kasper has been fantastic for Leicester for quite some time now & plus I think he is a big part of the glue that holds this team together.

I agree. He's had his critics but a truly quality goalkeeper is very difficult, and expensive, to find. Sometimes, it's not necessarily the greatest players, that play the most important roles in teams.

He's probably not up there with Lloris or De Gea but in terms of goals I can only really think of him not catching United's corner and his punch that landed at Eriksen's feet that can be put down to his mistakes this year too? Kasper's influence in our success is so much more than the saves he makes regardless. He's massive for us, I hope he's given a new contract.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 I've mentioned before on here, that I think we are lucky to have Kasper as our GK. He does get some criticism sometimes, but overall he is a proper talented keeper and excellent shot stopper. As he has been at the club for a number of years he's been a key factor in both our rise to success and our renowned team togetherness/spirit. He's been playing alongside the likes of Morgan and Drinkwater for a good few years now and they've built that positive squad mentality together, and thankfully players that we've recruited have also joined in with this squad's togetherness and the bond has grown stronger.
Jimmy Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 just wish he'd catch the ball more instead of that limp punch
Fox42 Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 I remember watching him for the first time for us vs Real Madrid in that friendly. When we went one then two nil down, you could see his immediate frustration, kicking the ball in anger and absolutely slating the defenders, trying to command him like he's our captain (it was Mills at the time ) and just by looking at those small things, I thought we've got a right keeper in our hands. He showed signs of the right attitude since Day One.

Richard Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Watch his post-match interviews on Foxes Player, MOTD etc. and he seems a very focused and level headed character. It must be a huge help to have such an assured and calm character (though he does still have his temper moments - that sending off for 2 yellows a few years back comes to mind) must be a huge part in our great defensive record recently.
