Mark Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Assisted the assist for the Okazaki goal from a gosl kick. No keeper in the league has a bigger kick. First time it's worked after 200 attempts since November
My Nads Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 I know, the Star, but news is news. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/488584/Man-United-swoop-for-Kasper-Schmeichel-David-De-Gea I'd be delighted with this, if they gave us Valdes as part of the deal.

Youd be delighted to swap a great keeper for a past his best out of form keeper? Jeez
Koke Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 I know, the Star, but news is news. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/488584/Man-United-swoop-for-Kasper-Schmeichel-David-De-Gea I'd be delighted with this, if they gave us Valdes as part of the deal. You'd swap a solid reliable efficient Premier League keeper for an out of form past it guy? Schmeichel will turn 30 this year. I don't think he's going anywhere.
Koke Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 When you think about it, it is indeed rare how many times Kasper comes out to catch the ball from the air from a corner. He prefers to leave it to the defenders. Best keepers like Courtois dominate in the air. Pretty much. Part of the reason we were shite at defending set pieces earlier in the season is because we obviously lack height. When you got Simpson marking van Dijk for a corner then you know we got a serious problem with lack of height. But another problem is also Kasper rarely dominates the six yard. I'm still annoyed that Schweinsteiger headed in from literally 2 yards out from a corner. He rarely comes out to collect the ball from a corner. Of course if Schmeichel was Courtois he would be playing for Real Madrid, not Leicester City. He's a good solid mid table Premier League keeper who has flaws.

I get what you are saying there but it seems like the kind of quote you'd get in a list of "Did they really say that?!" quotes haha.
Clever Fox Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 Kasper has definitely upped his game in the last few games and is now showing the type of performance required to help keep us in the top 4. He's even come for some crosses lately and his concentration levels have to be admired. His shot stopping is as good as anybody's.
Russell sprout Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 Up there behind Flowers and Walker for me. But not to far behind! Flowers yes but not walker
Fox92 Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 Flowers yes but not walker Walker was better than Schmeichel.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 Kasper has done & is doing a wonderful job for City but some of our fans seem to think we've outgrown him !! We are a long way from Europe so don't get carried away just yet. People are talking about Joe Hart & De Gea. Crazy Talk We are not there yet so lets dance with the ones who brought us. Sorry, but I don't agree. We need the best players we can get. This is the Premiership, and there is no room for sentimentality.
Sammy Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Superb handling and control of the box today, something regularly criticised
ithuriel Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Looked good today, in fact the whole team looked good, shame Oka went off injured though.
StanSP Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Some guy behind me had a go at him today for not collecting one of their crosses where Simpson (excellently) headed it out for a corner. Not realising the flight of the ball and the way the cross dipped would have made it very difficult for him to catch .
gurru991 Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 Sorry, but I don't agree. We need the best players we can get. This is the Premiership, and there is no room for sentimentality. Lots of players are better than our first team but we are winning with our players,we are better than Man U, better than Man C. Teams win .. not individuals and Kasper is an integral part of that team. If it aint broke, don't fix it.

People who play FM think it's about the absolute best players, but look at Chelsea-it clearly isn't. Kasper is great for us, and he's played with Morgan long enough that his flaws are largely eliminated.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 Kasper has been great... never had a problem with him and he makes some world class stops
americanfox Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 Sorry, but I don't agree. We need the best players we can get. This is the Premiership, and there is no room for sentimentality. Completely disagree -- we need great players, but we have players who are capable of elevating as we continue to elevate and it means so much more that they've been with us through thick and thin. Kasper is one of us, and he's talented enough to grow as the club grows. Long may he stay.
MC Prussian Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 Loved how he tricked Jon Walters into heading the wrong way after Fuchs' backpass in the 64th minute. So cheeky and a definite sign of a player high on confidence.

Not realising the flight of the ball and the way the cross dipped would have made it very difficult for him to catch . It disagree with you on that's one, having watched it on reply I think he has to collect it, it's so close to him and Simpson was never favorite to win it. I think he has to come and punch it away. Great defending from Simpson tho, and Kasper was solid enough. Still question why he punches away a ball that's straight at him?
blueharmie Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 Kasper is the best keep I've seen in the ask 28 years for sure.
Sir Shep Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 So, Kasper to Liverpool then if the BBC gossip is to be believed!
davieG Posted 9 February 2016 Posted 9 February 2016 Leicester City are to offer Kasper Schmeichel a new deal to ward off interest from Manchester United and Tottenham, according to reports. Having already tied down striker Jamie Vardy to a new four-year contract, manager Claudio Ranieri wants to secure the future of the rest of his first-team players, many of whom have become targets for a number of Premier League giants. Goalkeeper Schmeichel has become a key figure at the King Power Stadium since joining from Leeds United in 2011. The Sun suggest the Denmark international’s performances this term have caught the eye of United and Spurs, who could bid for the 29-year-old in the summer. Schmeichel – whose father, Peter, is a United legend – is among the candidates to replace David de Gea, should the Spaniard join Real Madrid. The former Manchester City stopper penned a new four-year deal in 2014, but the Foxes are keen for their number one to commit his long-term future to the club. Meanwhile, right-back Danny Simpson is also likely to be offered a contract extension. Simpson, who joined Leicester from QPR in 2014, has just over a year left to run on his current deal. The 29-year-old has been an unsung hero in Ranieri’s title challengers, making 18 appearances in the Premier League this season. http://www.teamtalk.com/news/schmeichel-in-contract-talks-as-man-utd-and-spurs-eye-move?
kushiro Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 That save from Giroud. One of the greatest I've ever seen. That would have been the headline moment....
Tuna Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Great save today but his kicks keep flying out of touch.
