Rincewind Posted 24 February 2016 Posted 24 February 2016 Or not if you are a skeptical old git like me. A site listing how your MP votes and their attendance record in the HOC. Just enter your postcode for your MP and to receive alerts. Mine is Jon Ashworth who is quite active and has a decent attendence record so I suppose I should count myself one of the lucky ones.
Captain... Posted 24 February 2016 Posted 24 February 2016 I think you forgot something in your original post...

Oh, Rincey.... and what might be that site you mentioned?
Finnegan Posted 24 February 2016 Posted 24 February 2016 .... They work for you. That's actually the name of the site.
Darkon84 Posted 24 February 2016 Posted 24 February 2016 You've forgotten the link mate! Besides, I'm certain you've shared the same thing before about 4 times with almost exactly the same post each time. Are you just searching the history and copy/pasting? As interesting as it is, what's the obsession? EDIT: I'll do you a favour Rincey, here it is.http://www.theyworkforyou.com/
Carl the Llama Posted 24 February 2016 Posted 24 February 2016 Haha wow I didn't realise Jeremy cough Hunt is the rep for my old stomping ground. Always knew that place was a bit iffy.
Finnaldo Posted 24 February 2016 Posted 24 February 2016 David Tredinnick is a Conservative MP, and on the vast majority of issues votes the same way as other Conservative MPs. However, David Tredinnick sometimes differs from their party colleagues, such as: David Tredinnick generally voted against allowing marriage between two people of same sex, while most Conservative MPs generally voted for. How this cockwomble consistently wins the seat I honestly don't know. God save Hinckley & Bosworth.

Some on here think MP's can do no wrong. The link shows which ones do something for the money they are given. They represent us after all. Saw a post on Facebook about Priti Patel. She's in favour of cuts to disabled people's ESA yet she has raised a question in the commons about improving access on trains for disabled people after a constituent wrote to her.I wonder if they were one of the ones who have had their cars taken from them preventing them to get around unaided and even travel further distances for work.

Perhaps obsession was a strong word to use, no malice meant by the way. It is quite interesting and I even looked up my local MP again to see what he's been up to, even though he was involved in PMQs earlier anyway.
Rincewind Posted 24 February 2016 Author Posted 24 February 2016 How this cockwomble consistently wins the seat I honestly don't know. God save Hinckley & Bosworth. Would he help a gay couple if they were having problem in some way? They would be unable to go to anyone else for help because protocol says MP's can only represent people in their own constituency. Not really fair if two people in neighbouring constituencies having similar issues but different outcomes when going to their MP's because of them toeing the party line. Also it can also depend on whether your MP has expertise in certain areas. Some are lawyers or doctors. Maybe you should be able to choose from those in your town/City. Probably flawed thinking but it would help some and maybe encourage some to think about how they do their work. Before anyone says it, I realise there will be some willing to help regardless of their allegiance. I would like to see the majority do it hence the link so they can be held to account.
ramboacdc Posted 24 February 2016 Posted 24 February 2016 why the hell are building companies donating to andrew bridgen of NW Leicestershire?
theessexfox Posted 24 February 2016 Posted 24 February 2016 My MP will have served 23 years in my constituency by the end of this Parliament and has NEVER voted against the Tory party whip.
The Railway Man Posted 24 February 2016 Posted 24 February 2016 Andrew Bridgen, a bit biased as we are related but he does a great job why the hell are building companies donating to andrew bridgen of NW Leicestershire? Nudge nudge wink wink. What? Are you implying Andrew has used his position to take a bribe? Hope you have some evidence to back that up if you do.
Rincewind Posted 24 February 2016 Author Posted 24 February 2016 I never mentioned a bribe. They may just think he's a nice guy and he admires the work they do and meet up for beer and skittle night down the local. Quite legit in this day and age.

Guest MattP Posted 25 February 2016 Posted 25 February 2016 Edward Argar - Charnwood Has spoken in 29 debates since joining Parliament — average amongst MPs. Has received answers to 24 written questions since joining Parliament — average amongst MPs. Has voted in 94.27% of votes in this Parliament with this affiliation — well above average amongst MPs. Can't complain about him so far, met me when I asked him to and has answered all three emails I have sent him quite promptly.
