TiffToff88 Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 My dog is in season and she just constantly paces around whining. My understanding is that she is doing this to try to attract the attention of a mate, but it sounds like she's really uncomfortable. Does anyone have any ideas how i can help her out and maybe keep the whining down a bit? Or is it a case of just letting nature run its course? Unfortunately, allowing her to breed is not an option
Bryn Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 Ride it out, keep her away from males if you don't want her mating.
BrummieFOX Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 You could just get her spayed if you're not planning on allowing her to breed?
TiffToff88 Posted 26 February 2016 Author Posted 26 February 2016 You could just get her spayed if you're not planning on allowing her to breed? I am getting her spayed, but its usually recommended to wait until after their first season
Bryn Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 Yeah absolutely you have to wait. She's not uncomfortable, she just wants to get her slut on.
Merging Cultures Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 You could just get her spayed if you're not planning on allowing her to breed? Agreed.

DillonLive Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 pfft, women. Agree! But seriously, buy her a bitch spray. It will help mask the smell that makes the bitch attractive to male dogs during oestrus.

ramboacdc Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 I am getting her spayed, but its usually recommended to wait until after their first season once shes spayed it should stop it. my in-laws have a westie they never have had spayed and she whines and moans all night long when she is in season. Try giving her a toy or something to look after. may trigger a phantom pregnancy for her and she will mother the item. At the moment is the westie in question does it with a digimon.
Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 At the moment is the westie in question does it with a digimon. DIGIMON DIGITAL MONSTERS DIGIMON ARE THE CHAMPIONS
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 I am getting her spayed, but its usually recommended to wait until after their first season Take her for a massive walk, when she's home she'll be too tired to be pacing around and will just settle. The first season seems to last for ages and you're constantly cleaning the bleddy floor, just try to keep her occupied otherwise she will whine and pace about
