AmyLGK Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 I voted second as it still doesn't seem real but come on who voted third?! This. I just can't believe in my heart we'll win it - the title will go to Spurs. But to finish 2nd would just be incredible!!!
SystonFox Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 Voted Champions because We havn't lost to WH since Dec 2014 We havn't lost to Swans since Oct 2014 We havn't lost to Everton since Dec 2003 We're even with Man u since Sep 2014 w1 t1 l1 only losing record is against Chelsea since Aug 2014 w1 l2. Odds are we win History dictates nothing. A pointless argument. The here and now writes history. Jamie Vardy writes history. Riyad Mahrez writes history. Andy King will write history
Reg Vardy Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 If Tottenham beat Stoke on a Monday night at the Britannia it would be a great result, Chelsea away, a victory would be a better result. Southampton detest Spurs.......win all five? If they do they will be so unlucky not to win the title. But they won't....
WiFoxes Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 For the first time I voted first. I have thought we would finish there for a while, but hate to tempt fate. Spurs are gonna drop at least 2 points. That means we need 7 from 5 games. It's happening.
limeydale Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 History dictates nothing. A pointless argument. The here and now writes history. Jamie Vardy writes history. Riyad Mahrez writes history. Andy King will write history I agree, that is my veiled point. We are playing better now than ever before yet even when we weren't playing our best football we still haven't lost to 4 of 5 of these next teams we play. "History dictates nothing. A pointless argument." You ought to be preaching that to all the sorry ass fans on here that voted we come in 2nd or 3rd because of our past history

I suppose they just don't like to jinx it. People keep saying 2nd would still be an achievement but I know if we blow this and I see Spurs lift the trophy it will be devastating. Life may as well end right there. Don't fear. We got this
Cornish Lair Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 Since Man U played so poorly against Spurs, and let themselves down, but also the rest of football supporters in the UK who are willing us on to win the premiership, I am not so confident as I was last week. This is now the time when Claudio Ranieri has to earn his money in motivating the team to play like champions.
biggs Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 Us and Spurs win the next two.......how the nerves on here will jingle. The following week will be nuts
biggs Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 This is now the time when Claudio Ranieri has to earn his money in motivating the team to play like champions. I think he's been doing that......checked the table lately
Rincewind Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 voted 1st for the first time. City are on a roll and full of confidence. We would have to slip up badly and Spurs to win 5/5 or even 4/5 I can see Spurs losing to Stoke and Chelsea. then we need 4 points? cannot see us dropping 11.
Mainlander Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Where's the 'not sure yet and don't want to tempt fate' option? Put me in that, thanks. That's second, where I voted for the same reason.
Renart Posted 13 April 2016 Author Posted 13 April 2016 I completely understand the 'tempting fate' argument... When I am being objective I imagine that it is s team other than Leicester and then I have to vote 1st; when I am being a Leicester fan I get the jitters....
Rincewind Posted 14 April 2016 Posted 14 April 2016 I think it could be tempting fate if I had put 2nd. It could be one of the few times that I am right. So I decided to be an optimist.
Sionnach gorm Posted 14 April 2016 Posted 14 April 2016 Everyone knows anything is possible. But with seven points ahead of the second place team, I think it is reasonable to say we should win it. It would mean a complete turn in for this Leicester team to drop that many points. I just don't see it happening right now. You can lock this now!
erlee Posted 14 April 2016 Posted 14 April 2016 Voted Champions because We havn't lost to WH since Dec 2014 We havn't lost to Swans since Oct 2014 We havn't lost to Everton since Dec 2003 We're even with Man u since Sep 2014 w1 t1 l1 only losing record is against Chelsea since Aug 2014 w1 l2. Odds are we win yep. I think we are racing across the breast-tape... win by 3 lengths following from football265.com >>> But forget Sunderland’s misery for now, and think only of triumph. For Leicester, this is the dream that no amount of pinching can interrupt, yet another test passed. Eighteen of their 20 league victories have been achieved with less than 50% possession, but against Sunderland they were forced to dominate the ball and make the play. This was the exception to the rule from the club that is becoming known for exactly that. Ranieri was close to tears of joy after the full-time whistle. Leicester City have now been behind in the Premier League for 47 minutes since the end of October. It’s an astounding statistic. Ranieri’s side are not limping their way to the title, but unearthing new ways to win at will. They have wowed at the Etihad Stadium. They have dug in at White Hart Lane. They have dismissed Liverpool and Chelsea. They have ground it out at Watford, Crystal Palace and now Sunderland. They are on untrodden ground, and yet no team in the Football League is on a better run of form. They are Leicester City, and they are going to win the league. Now you’re gonna believe it. <<
An Away Move Posted 14 April 2016 Posted 14 April 2016 I put second. Purely not to jinx it by counting chickens too early. This is not done. But we are amazing and more than capable of winning it and going down in history FOREVER.
RobHawk Posted 14 April 2016 Posted 14 April 2016 I put champions - simply because the team have a lot more bottle than us lot on here. They proved it when we won the Championship at a canter, and last year with the great escape! Win on Sunday and its game over IMO! Draw or lose and i still think we will do it - but it will be a bit more nerve wracking than what we would all like!
Bazly Posted 14 April 2016 Posted 14 April 2016 79 points wins the league so only 7 points to go. 78 Spurs win on goal difference, that'd be a bummer.
Shelf Side Spurs Posted 14 April 2016 Posted 14 April 2016 To be honest I think you've got this.....realistically our best hope is for you to get two draws and lose one, but even then we have to win all 5 remaining games and they include Stoke and Chelsea away.....we've even got Newcastle away on the last day and they may be fighting to stay in the league. From our and presumably others perspective we thought that you would have a 'blip' somewhere along the line...everyone was saying Christmas/early new year but you beat us, won away at City and beat Liverpool at home with that amazing Vardy goal....so you haven't had the 'blip' that every team seems to have and I don't see it happening now.... 7 points is a lot with only 5 games left and if I'm being honest we have to watch that Arsenal don't catch us, they have an easier run -in than we do, but we'll see, we have 3 points and goal difference in hand. Funny thing is...bearing in mind the above was assumed to happen....and it hasn't, everyone including Spurs fans were really enjoying watching Leicester (everyone except Spurs fans still are!!) when Vardy was breaking records with that goal against United. We all wanted you to finish in the top 4 but no-one us included thought you'd keep going for 38 games with the squad depth etc. It's a fantastic achievment...if we come second so be it, still a great season for us and the young squad that we have will have learned a great deal for the 'experience' bank, both in the Premier league, Europe, and at International level for players like Kane, Alli, Dier, Rose and Walker....our 'experienced' players will be aged about 21-25 next year...which stands them in good stead. I think you'll be good again next year and challenging with the top 6, but coping with Europe brings new challenges as well. Enjoy it.
SystonFox Posted 14 April 2016 Posted 14 April 2016 Not sure I can cope much longer with this Spurs fan being all nice and reasonable. ARE YOU WATCHING TOTTINGHAM. Fair play to you though. Thanks for th kind words and let's hope both sides are also up there next season proving we aren't one season wonders. See you in next seasons CL finale
