My wife just doesn't understand

West Ham go 2-1 up with 7 minutes left

My wife says " I don't know why you are so upset , it's only a game of football"

" But I have waited 50 years for this only for a bad referee decision to snatch it away"

" But it's only a game"

Leicester equalise with the last kick of the game.

Harmony is restored to the universe

She needs a hobby

Buy her some wool and tell her to get on with some knitting

If she takes no interest then behead her and get a younger model who doesn't talk.

I have noisy neighbours, they keep having lengthy shagging sessions, the only time they hear me in extacy is when city score, which only happens once a week most weeks and for 9 months of the year

Yes yes yes!!.. Oh Jamie.. Yes yes!!

Is she into all of that hurting sort of stuff?

My wife's been a revelation. In 51 years together I've never known her take the slightest interest in Leicester City.

Yes, she understands and accepts my own interest  - even to the point of getting married in midweek to save missing a match - but any football on television is a signal for her to disappear up to our bedroom with a book.

This season though, it's been different. For the first time ever she stays up to watch Match of the Day - and once Leicester's been on she's up and away. On returning from a match it's "how did they get on?" or "I've heard the score, what was the game like?".

In the quietest way, she's absorbed so much that if anyone asked her a question about the current Leicester season or it's players, I'm pretty sure she'd know the answer.

It's remarkable how many neutrals or even non-football followers have warmed to the Leicester story and become eager for the next instalment.   We've done so much already I just hope we can fashion a happy ending to round it off.

It'll almost certainly be the biggest chance of my lifetime.

I got asked "Are you renewing your season ticket for next season" Can you believe such question after witnessing me jump around like like a lunatic when vardy scored at sunderland and other times and I talk nothing but City.

I sarcastically remarked probably not as I am not interested in champions league and all the new signings that may come and league one was better.

Oh good she said we can start planning weekends away, I'll just wait for the ST to drop through the letterbox and leave it where she can see it

Oh and in my defence I was very drunk when I first posted in here and completely misread this thread as a generalisation dig, so my apologies!

Thracian, I think you misunderstood just what this thread is about. Clearly your wife understands you, so this is rubbing it into the faces of those that aren't as lucky :P For the record, I struck lucky too!
