Inler Next Season

I think he has shown fantastic character....name another international skipper on the eve of a Euros who would not have been in the press demanding time on the pitch.....for me it shows the spirit of this squad...he looked as though he fully enjoyed the celebrations!!

I for one love the fact that our football club has had a strong enough squad to not even have him on the bench.

I hope he stays has a great preseason and proves the quality he undoubtedly possesses if not and he moves on then I wish him all the success he deserves....he will have my respect for a fantastic attitude irrespective of whether he proved his footballing abilities..

I can understand if he does move on, given the lack of game time at Leicester. Having said this, am I right in thinking he's played in the Champions League before? If so, his experience playing in the competition could be key to both the club, and other members of the squad. If he hasn't played in the CL, there might still be some importance advice/tips he could share to fellow midfielders to improve their own game.

Cambiasso left the club but given the time he was here, I reckon the current midfield would of learnt loads from him. Maybe Inler could be similar.

I'm not going to write off another player after being proved wrong so often over the last 3 years. We know it takes time to adapt to the Premier league.

Whatever people think of him football wise he does deserve credit as do all the bench players for their attitude at not being picked and playing a support role, haven't heard any of them moaning.

Yes tend to think he'll be gone. Strange that he and Benny were the only players directly chosen by Claudio and have been poor. Leave it to Walshy to pick the signings.

Benny hadn't really been poor though, just was never going to break up the CB partnership.

And Gray? Isn't he a Claudio signing?

Missed out of the Switzerland squad. Will be surprised if he is here next season.

Feel for him. Came here as a 'step down' to get some first team football and guarantee his spot as captain, which I admire in a player. Unlucky for him he picked the wrong team, he couldn't have predicted out meteoric rise.

At least he got a winners medal out of it. Expect him to leave though.

Quite surprised the Swiss didn't take him, he was their captain and best player for a long time. You don't just lose it from not playing every week.

I guess they have the balls that Woy doesn't!

I agree with Fox 4 Life, Inler's still a very good player and if he was playing week in week out here at City I feel we'd be seeing some great performances from him because I think the class is still there. I can be hard to adjust to the speed of the PL when not playing regularly. I'd keep him personally, but we'll see.

Should Inler stay or go next season. His style of football may well be suited to the Champions league if we need different options of play?

No such thing as the 'champions league' style of play. It's the Leicester City style of play or the highway!!

Ideally, it would have been good to see how he got on after six or seven consecutive games. Maybe his confidence and ability would have been realized, but he was kept out by others, playing supreme football.

About sums it up. We've not really been able to see if he's still any good cos he's not had the run of games. Due, of course, to the other pair being superb AND Andy King being very good when he's had his chance.

From what I have seen of Inler though...too slow.
