As I put it the 'What grinds my gears' thread, he's not allowed to swap them as school, so we're using e-bay to order the one's he needs and to sell his swaps and it's working quite well. P.S. the quality of the stickers are shite compared to the ones I collected in the early 80's!!

I ended up having a row about it on the 'What grinds my gears' thread with some posters who were obviously teachers I remember swapping stickers with my mates in the playground was a big part of my enjoyment at school and we had hours of fun. Got, got, got, got, NEEEED!!

I don't think there is anything that would encourage me to trade stickers in school more mad though I agree. There's a silly number of Albania, Iceland, Ukraine & Russia, yet Croatia & Switzerland I'm doing very little with. I had some superb luck the other day. Bought 20 packs, got about 6 Albanians and 6 English in that and despite only needing about 8 Albanians and 10 English, not a single one was a swap.

I saw that in what grinds my gears thread, a poster who was a teacher said it was because that it was very difficult to deal with multiple occurrences of bullying or stealing when it is impossible to find who is responsible so it was easier to just ban them outright which is fair enough I suppose even if it is a shame. Izzy Posted 19 May 2016 Posted 19 May 2016 Just had a look back through my Mexico 86 World Cup sticker book for old times sake Each team only had 16 players and from recollection, they were pretty much all on the plane and all played in the tournament (certainly the England squad). I can't help thinking this Euro 2016 book has come out far too early, hence players are in there who won't be going, and some who will be going but aren't in the book. It's a bit crap really and it's hard work trying to explain it to a six year old FFS!!

Think I'm more proud than my six year old, and I sort of ended up taking over after his attempts at sticking them in looked like they'd been done by a six year old Reckon it cost about £200 all in all and I ended up getting most off e-bay in the end. Was it worth it? Hell yeah! Looks the dogs bollux...

Only 7/20 where everyone else is ranging from 14-20. Find the A/B ones tedious and I've had very few shinies either. Dropped a clanger with Turkey's team. I've gone and stuck it a bit above where it should be because there's a line on the bit where you stick it in and without realising I've gone and stick the bottom bit along it looks ridiculous. How long do they do these until? I'm going away on Saturday. Aim to get it completed.

At least until the end of the tournament I'd have thought Dan, so you've got a good few weeks left yet until the shops stop selling them. Sounds like you're at the stage where you're getting more swaps than needs, so I'd be heading over to e-bay about now if I were you. There's hundreds of people selling them and you can select 20, 30, 50 etc. off their 'list' of hundreds and bid for exactly what you need. I ordered my last 60 direct from Panini at 14p a sticker and £1.00 postage - piece of piss. Looks good when complete. Will be a nice reminder in a few years of when we got knocked out in the group stage
