Dan Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 You all know full-well he'll be captain against Slovakia in September. Thus England fail to move on again.

Guest Col city fan Posted 5 July 2016 Posted 5 July 2016 In midfield, in the same starting line up, with Vardy on the bench and Stuart Pearce as "interim" manager. Don't laff....it'll most likely happen. Wooney literally appears undroppable. Genuinely, if I was the England manager I'd have him nowhere near the first team. I'd start over.
MC Prussian Posted 8 July 2016 Posted 8 July 2016 I'd nicely talk to him about potentially ending his stint with Team England sooner than later. He'd need an exceptional WC qualifying stage plus a mesmerizing World Cup to round off his international career on the high so many people have expected him to deliver for so long. Then again, he's only as good as the rest of the team. Maybe with a new national manager, he's able to rediscover his earlier form and finally live up to the promise.
Wymsey Posted 8 July 2016 Posted 8 July 2016 Seems to have lost a bit of confidence in past season, possibly due to him switching between positions. He's like Scholes now, clever passing and shots outside box more than in.
purpleronnie Posted 9 July 2016 Posted 9 July 2016 I'd nicely talk to him about potentially ending his stint with Team England sooner than later. Messi gives up on Argentina but we still have to have rooney. Doesn't seem fair.
Nick Posted 9 July 2016 Posted 9 July 2016 Quite often the best player on the field for England. Snag is that he was just the best player playing in the wrong position aside from the goalkeeper who was in the right position but probably shouldn't have been starting. Special times.
foxes21 Posted 9 July 2016 Posted 9 July 2016 people saying he is the best english player? so what, its a team game. england play like individuals, not like a team and thats why we are a failure. until we get a manager that selects players based on form & who's the best fit for the team, we won't win anything. cant believe drinkwater and even noble weren't selected, because rooney had to be shoehorned into the side. if theres better players in rooneys main position then he shouldn't be starting, simple.
