Its the Mirror but meh - apparently we are gonna go back in for Adrien Silva. Couldn't play in the CL but what a signing that would be.

Back in is a funny one. We continued negotiation after the window closed. I was lead to believe a deal was nearly done. Subject to them not qualifying for the CL last 16.

Watched abit of sporting Lisbon at the weekend, and silva did not impress (granted it's one match and he has had a pretty bad injury this year). William carvalho along side him looked an absolute beast though!

Don't get the what a signing that would be? Raniaris foreign players who he signed have been far from impressive. Could easy be another one of them.

Not good enough, was the backbone of the side that won Euro 16 and had Sporting fans almost in tears when they found out we were close to signing him. He's also that poor he managed to score against a sh*te team called Real Madrid. Oh and Sporting have only lost one game in the league when he has started this season!

Slimani will be great. Kapustka will be a top player, most highly thought of young professional (now 19) in Poland for thirty years, a lot of people think Amartey (now 21 will be a star), nothing wrong with Musa, he will get better, I think Hernandez (on a free) was good business, how can anyone know what Mendy will be like (I think he will be a top player). Are you awake?

I wonder if he'd actually be that keen to join us now though? He can't play in the CL and we're in a relegation battle so it's not quite as rosey as before. I suppose it depends what other offers he might have in January, it's a horrible market to operate in. I just hope we've a plan and we act ruthlessly and efficiently. We will likely pay way over the odds if we leave it too late.

I don't think we are in a relegation battle buddy.

 

Certainly we could be in a month or two - but not yet.

Yes let's get players that need time to settle or are one for the future. We need balance that's what half the problems been. Need players to come in an make an impact, silva might be brilliant but if he's that good he might not want to come here big team might be after him.

So Silva two new first choice CB's and we could be ripping up the prem.

We could go Simpson Fuchs to contain the big boys mahrez can play wing or cover Silva.

So many option in that to cover certain teams or games. We can defend hit on the counter or go all out to rip teams apart.

On Silva, he and his agent still want the move - presumably hoping a top side comes in for him, but the Sporting director is up for re-election in May and won't sell his captain for fear of the fans kicking off, after they sold Slimani.
