Newly-promoted Leicester City's owner wants a top-five finish in the Premier League within three years - and will spend the money needed to get there.

Needless to say it has been certainly more effective and successful than Mandaric's 3-year plan.

Did Mandaric's ever tell us what it was. I still blame him for our relegation. You can't change managers like he did and expect a lot else. The only thing he did right for us was sell. Oh yes some will claim he saved us and perhaps he did. But he made sure his pockets were full when he left.

No way will they be happy with this season though. And no way will they want/let us get relegated otherwise it's back to square one.

Fair play we peaked to early by winning the league but we had a chance to actually push on, maybe a chance to cement ourselves as a top 7 club, but poor recruitment has led to our very poor performances and results... Southampton lost 11 games all season last season to finish 7th... we've already lost 7 and it's only just December.

There is hope and time yet ( look at me being positive lol ), but totally get what your saying.

My expectations where low this season, higher than the great escape season, but nothing on last year.

The sad thing is, yes we achieved the owners target, but instead of progressing to be a solid premier league side, we seemed to have  missed the chance to strengthen and grow as a club, and seriously risk going backwards.

Like I say, it will take a dramatic change in results, but if we get our heads out of our arses, mid table is still on.

The problem is can I see it happening or where the next point is coming from, at the point, no.

Transfers with Ranieri in charge...

Amartey 21

Gray 21

Musa 24

Hernandez 27

Mendy 24

Kapustka 19

Slimani 28

No, not a hint of building a team long term there.

Take Gray (who I really like) and Amartey out of the equation because they were signed last year, and you're not really left with much in the 6 month timescale I was referring to.

Musa may end up being good enough, but I really can't see where he fits into the current system.

Hopefully Mendy is as good as I think he will be, but he turned out to be our replacement for Kante so not really an 'addition' as such.

Kaputska- anyone's guess for what's going on with him.

As I said, the last 6 months haven't seen much progression at all. Hopefully we can turn it around.

I hope long term we can look to establishing ourselves as a top ten regular in the Premier League, and that's something which I feel is capable of doing. I know at the moment things aren't going too well but I hope he turn it around, I feel we've got a squad which has the ability to do so. Since the owners took over in 2011, we've had two titles and European football which I think is excellent. I hope in the next few years we can continue that sort of success.

Yeah agreed. Our academy which we worked so hard to get Category A status on and spent millions has been allowed to stagnate, it doesn't help who we have running it and until Rudkin retains as much power as he does we're unlikely to see much success. The man is a poltis.

You said it mate.
