let's be realistic...

1. we'll be out of the EUCL.. by end of Feb

2. We'll won't win the FA cup

3. we'll be battling with teams like Hull & sunderland to stay in the EPL

Well that's some progress I suppose.

I think you have misunderstood the meaning of realistic. Realistically the only thing on that list that will happen is we finish 17th.

Like the optimism though

Only time will tell. In my world there are different levels of realisticness!

Great optimism but let's stay up first!

We will struggle with our best side against Sevilla, play our 2nd string in the FA Cup and get beat eventually and I'll be amazed if we finish higher than 15th-17th.

..... can you really have different (and divergent) levels of what is realistic in your own world? Surely, you have a personal idea of what you think might actually be achieved (realistic), as opposed to a worst case scenario (pessimistic) and a best case scenario (optimistic). You and I might disagree on what is realistic but can you disagree with yourself? I think that makes you schizophrenic.

I think people are also forgetting that for the first 60 minutes against Everton we were appalling. We had a 20 minute spell where we were on absolute fire but we were generally turd for much of that game! :scarf:

Pretty true. I was at the game and I did feel it was more that Everton were dreadful and looked like they couldn't be arsed rather than us being great. Although that game was much better for us than the dross we served up against Chelsea and Southampton

I don't care if we win the CL, FA Cup and finish 8th, nothing will ever surpass the utter disbelief of last season.

I'm pretty sure winning the CL and fa cup in the same season would be on a similar if not higher level than winning the league!
