Having said that... he's turned into a right Prat. What he's done amounts to blackmail and he should be allowed nowhere near the club not even to take a shit. NO-ONE is bigger than the club! I don't care if promises were made or not if it ain't written down on paper it don't bloody count. He got played by management (and who the hell hasn't been) get over it and get on with the job you signed up for, you don't like it look for a legal way out. He got butthurt because he didn't get a new contract when some others did who contributed immensely more than he did. He thinks he's better than what he is, when in reality he's a 60min impact sub at best. And 8 milllion for 4 years is pretty damn good wages for an impact sub. This "I'm not getting my way so I'm not going to play" crap needs to be nipped in the bud before it becomes a real problem in football. Punish him to the extent his contract and the law allow and make an example of him for future grumblers, it may cost a few million now but it will save untold millions in the future. NO-ONE is bigger than the club!
