Dickov22 Posted 30 January 2017 Posted 30 January 2017 Imagine being Leo and seeing Musa and Okazaki get games ahead of you this season.....
TheSomersetFox Posted 30 January 2017 Posted 30 January 2017 No bitterness about Leo's comments, still a legend. it sounds like a player who has given nothing but 100% for us, even with limited chances, has been let down massively and lied to.
m4DD0gg Posted 30 January 2017 Posted 30 January 2017 LCFC = Shambles. Edit - In fact time for Claudio to go. Edit 2 - And that idiot Rudkin.
Argarath Posted 30 January 2017 Posted 30 January 2017 Great player with alot of memorable goals, who the f*** cares what he wrote on twitter..
KP Fox Posted 30 January 2017 Posted 30 January 2017 Thanks Leo. Your goals kept us in the premier league and consequently meant we could go on win it the following season . My favourite memories: your goals against Manu (5-3), the pen against the Hammers in the run up to the title 2-2 (l don't think you ever missed a pen for us) and of course the goals against Swansea when we were all worried about what we would do without Vardy (4-0)
broughtonblue Posted 30 January 2017 Posted 30 January 2017 With all respect to you Leo. Feck you. Your under contact. We pay your wages and if you don't want to play then rot. Refusing to play is breach of contract, so stay away on no pay. I would have played you above Slimani but not now
Detroit Blues Posted 30 January 2017 Posted 30 January 2017 Unprofessional IMO. Slimani has a groin injury (which might nag all season long), and Leo is our only striker taller than 6 foot. We have plenty of important matches over the next 4 months and Leo would have gotten some playing time had he not burned his bridge with Ranieri. Sure, he might have promised to sell Leo if the right offer came in, but things change. We are in the middle of a relegation battle, and now is not the time to be selling our only depth.

He has only ever been good for us, top scorer first season. Impact sub second season and scores some vital goals to help win us the league. he just wants to play. He has started one game for a team who have had shocking results, is constantly overlooked by players who have vastly underperformed. Ranieri and Rudkin again have had the whole transfer window to rectify this and leave it until the last day to do anything. I completely agree if he refuses to play he must be in breach of contract. But he is refusing to play over a lack of playing time, not out of a lack of respect to the fans and supporters. Many players adebayor, bogarde stay at a club to collect wages he does not want to be one of those. Payet leaves and severs all his ties with the club and fans, Ulloa has always been honest to the fans and only ever gave his best for our club.
Spicer Posted 30 January 2017 Posted 30 January 2017 I can't hold it against him. He has been great for us. He is in his twilight years as a professional so he just wants to play. Even with Slimani injured for a little bit Raneri wouldn't give him game time. I hope this isn't dragged out.

fazzyfox Posted 30 January 2017 Posted 30 January 2017 Ranieri has contradicted his "If a player is not happy he can go" stance from the summer but to be fair he has stated how it would leave us with just one target man (and it would be daft to give a Swansea or Sunderland someone who would improve them). He had little argument about his situation last season as we were winning regularly but now he's playing second fiddle to a front line who regularly fail to impress so it's understandable especially as he watches other premier league sides fielding weaker options up front, he has confidence in his ability to do a decent job, given a whole season he could be a 12-14 goal man and be the difference between relegation and staying up to them. For now we should think of oir own interests but Claudio's policy needs a slight revision to "....as long as we have a replacement in place and I'm okay about him going".

They don't want to sell him to Sunderland. Simples. I can understand why the guy's livid though. He won't play (if you don#t count occasional cameos) if he stays. Slim is more than an upgrade and Musa, Vardy, Okazaki are above him in the hierarchy.
Guest Manini Posted 30 January 2017 Posted 30 January 2017 Will always be grateful to Leo for the very very important goals he's scored for us
ozvaldo Posted 30 January 2017 Posted 30 January 2017 I was gutted when he joined. But now I'm more gutted he's leaving. Good, positive bloke to have around the club, and his goals will go down in history. Good luck.

German football legend, Bayern legend. Treated like a plague by Mourinho, sent to train with the reserve and told to search another club. Never say a word about the manager or the club and kept up training. For months. Still isn't a starter or even getting on the team sheet but still keep on training hard. That's the difference between a true pro and a second class footballer. Leicester made him. I can understand he's frustrated but that was uncalled for.

He was first or second off the bench when not starting. How high is your bar to being a legend? Only the starting eleven? Since when does the number of appearances matter? If you think Kante is a legend, then it shouldn't. He's been much more than a 'great servant'. Have some respect. His goals (and excellent near-post set-piece defending) kept us up his first season with us. His goals last season helped win us the league. He's done what we asked and then some. Still think he's a legend today do you?

Really rate Schweinsteiger but he's probably on £150k a week and whilst Ulloa earns great money by any other measure he could earn far more and get to play elsewhere. The club was too hasty in giving out silly contracts to some of the other players and Ulloa seemed to be overlooked. Good luck to him, he never gave less than 100% and scored some vital goals for us. Given some of the dross served up this season he really deserved more game time.

But he should't have had a go publicly at the club. It will do him nothing good, it will do the club nothing good. Can't believe this mess. Edit: Ulloa isn't exactly poor or on a mimimal salary. At this point I don't think it's about money anymore.

This guy and his agent are insulting our manager, our DoF and our club. He is telling us, that he will never again play for LCFC, although he has still 18 months on a valid contract. He knows, that in our actual situation, we can't sell him to a direct rival in the relegation fight. LCFC is paying him 50k/week. That may be not enough to win his loyalty, but it should be enough to keep his and his agent's mouth shut. Don't bide the hand, that is feeding you. Legend? NO
