Stadt Posted 28 January 2017 Posted 28 January 2017 We would have gone down without him in 2014/15 and obviously we wouldn't have been able to win the title either. Love the bloke.

None of the issues you have raised have anything to do with Ulloa how can us being in a relegation dogfight be down to the guy who's done well in his 5 minute cameos? For the record, he's one of the few who have maintained their usual standards this season. He's just been forced down the pecking order and received very limited game time, despite performing better than Slimani. Exactly forced down the pecking order due to not being superior to Slimani. Slimani is a much better player, scored more. more mobile and has a better understanding with Mahrez. Ulloa has not done anything since last season and that was bit part.

Hypocrisy knows no bounds, it would seem, Hypocrisy indeed. Leo's been a decent player for us but the bloke made less appearances for City than the likes of Ian Ormandroyd, Lee Philpott or Trevor Benjamin. Yes he scored a couple of important goals but a 'club legend', 'great servant' or even 'god'? Nah sorry, not for me.

Yeah, I get all that but usually these threads and Twitter chat are limited to the transfer section. They don't tend to make the main forum until they're official. Just thought that was a bit strange, even for this place

I think on a forum like this you cannot assume that the people calling him a 'donkey', or whatever was said, are the same people that are now praising him. I do agree with you that he is neither a 'club legend' nor a 'god', but he has been a great servant to the club. He has quietly gone about his business, trained hard, been an important part of a title winning team, and weighed in with some important performances and goals. I believe he deserves some recognition for that.

Have a read of the 'What defines a Leicester legend?' thread from a few weeks back. Some wildly differing opinions on what gets a player entry into the 'hall of fame'. For me, even though Leo scored some vital goals, he's a lowly 211th in Leicester City's all time appearance list so I'm struggling to give him legendary status. But it's all opinion and subjective anyway. Can't fault his attitude though, and I don't blame him for wanting a move at this stage of his career.
StriderHiryu Posted 28 January 2017 Posted 28 January 2017 Ooooooooh his name is Leonardo! Leicester's number 23... He's left us for another country... But he'll always be a legend to me!!! Thanks for the memories Leo, you made a massive impact during your time with us and you'll get a standing ovation from me when you're back next.

GaelicFox Posted 28 January 2017 Posted 28 January 2017 Lovely man , humble and dedicated met him and his young family on london road last year , stopped for a chat and he was so so nice. The West Ham and Norwich goals will live forever with me and thousands like me. one of the best chants any player has had at city in last 25 years ! Best of luck Amigo
trabuch Posted 28 January 2017 Posted 28 January 2017 Anyone who was part of the squad that finished top of the premier league is a legend in my book. And he certainly was a part of that win. Good luck to him.
filthyfox Posted 28 January 2017 Posted 28 January 2017 ... just when I promised to stop criticising him. He is so much better than a bench warmer. I have to question why Vardy gets a start in front of him.... Vardy hasn't scored in 19 out of 20 games.
ozleicester Posted 29 January 2017 Posted 29 January 2017 Respect. A man who always looked to be giving his all, scored some important goals and was a part of the Premier League winning squad. If he is leaving, then... Thanks Leo...... Leicester City champion. Oh and i loved singing his song.

Only the starting eleven? 6 hours ago, Izzy Muzzett said: Hypocrisy indeed. If you think Kante is a legend, then it shouldn't. He's been much more than a 'great servant'. Have some respect. His goals (and excellent near-post set-piece defending) kept us up his first season with us. His goals last season helped win us the league. He's done what we asked and then some.
Melbourne Fuchs Posted 29 January 2017 Posted 29 January 2017 Here's an old post I made about Leo: "Ulloa's last five goals: - Last minute winner against Norwich - THAT last minute penalty against West Ham and Jon Moss - Two goals against Swansea, proving we can have a party without Vardy - And now this wonderful header with his first touch of the ball, kick starting our comeback against a team with two extra men." He's done so much for this club, from being our top scorer in the great escape, to his clutch goals last season. It's only fair that we allow one of the most passionate football players around to feel like a footballer again. So all the best Leo, I hope the future brings you many goals (as long as they're not against us!) Thank you for playing a huge part in the best years in this club's history, for your enthusiasm, your goals and of course for that chant!
Tielemans63 Posted 29 January 2017 Posted 29 January 2017 Can't wait for the reaction on here when he misses a few chances having failed to secure a January move away.......
Nalis Posted 29 January 2017 Posted 29 January 2017 In fairness to you Leo, the way this season has gone a lot of the first team would currently love to know whats it feels like to be a footballer again too, so you are in good company...
Nick Posted 29 January 2017 Posted 29 January 2017 I wish him well - it's a battle of wills though at the moment. Whilst his tweet explains to the fans why he feels he needs to move on (which I supoort him in) it also is trying to push through a move.
