HybridFox Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 Anyone know how Birch is doing? Be nice to have him back on the PA for the United game. We haven't done too well since! But obviously a full recovery first and foremost

z-layrex Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 Had a pacemaker fitted at Glenfield I was told. Probably at home taking it easy for a while.
StanSP Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 Won't be about for another couple weeks after pacemaker surgery. Probably see him back for the Liverpool game but I doubt he'll be as lively as before.
adejo92 Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 Live stream him onto the screens for the Intro. Miss him Pre Match.

Guy Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 Also I doubt he'll be doing his end of season charity run at the final home game v Bournemouth any longer after his setback, although you never know I guess......

red5 Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 His pacemaker must have been at max capacity last night, this team will see him off at this rate
brisfox Posted 1 February 2017 Posted 1 February 2017 I spoke to Birch on the phone this morning and asked that I send every City fan his love and thanks for all the good wishes he received while he was in hospital. He is still feeling a bit banged up, naturally, and needs to take things easy. He was as close to death as you can get but still surviving. His terrific sense of humour remains in tact. He said he was especially moved by the phone tribute at the Chelsea game.He is determined to do the run at the last game of the season, albeit in a wheelchair or a hospital trolley or whatever. We are begining to organise his gang of collectors for the game, this year we are in fancy dress with a Birchy theme. Expect the collectors to be dressed in 1970's clothes, as doctors, nurses and even as the grim reaper! If anybody would like to join us as collectors, email me at [email protected]
David Lowe Posted 2 February 2017 Posted 2 February 2017 Birch and Steve Walsh were 2 great characters around the club and could be part of the reason for our struggles. Don't think they will be letting Birch do his stuff any time soon after suffering like that.
LewFox Posted 1 March 2017 Posted 1 March 2017 Birch is on the mend. Basically birch ok = Leicester win
