Hopefully more of these pieces will come through in the coming days. Journalists that have taken interest in the club for years and media fans. You mention Geoff Peters as a media fan. What are most of us then? As I understand it Geoff is a life long fan.

It's the outlets who basically only really noticed we existed last year that are stoking up the faux outrage.

The Horse's Mouth Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 Can't believe an actual balanced view that doesn't accuse of being worse than judas and that Ranieri's time at the club was faultless. Very good article
Vardinio'sCat Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 Bumping this in case anyone hasn't read it, because it is well worth it.
FrankieADZ Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 very good read that, about time there was a balanced article on the whole situation, shame more neutrals havent had a read of it
Leicester69 Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 I commented on this article in the "Matthew Syed Article" thread, and after reading it again I think it sums up the picture perfectly...well balanced and takes a look at the bigger picture, rather than grabbing a sensational headline. The author also wrote the book "Fearless" which for those who haven't read it is a brilliant read...good mix of facts, behind the scenes information and access/comments from the players and staff, well worth a buy and a read. Sentiment aside Ranieri was systematically dismantling everything that worked last year...the fans who aren't wearing rose coloured glasses could see it, the backroom staff could see it, the players could see it and eventually the owners saw it...hence Ranieri went. The media and bandwagon jumpers cant see it, because they know nothing about the club. Easiest decision ever, made about 8 games left, Ranieri should have gone after Bournemouth away in my opinion, the rot was well and truly set in, it amazes me he lasted this long...and for context/balance I sang his name as loud as ever last night...but was over the moon when we sang Shakespeare's name straight after. Continuity and familiarity, back to basics and what were good at, we don't need Hiddink/Mancini we need a good, honest, down to earth manager who will get the best out of the players...Shakey will do!
