How are we weaker when we've sold nobody and added two players. Ffs some people talk nonsense.

The simplistic answer is to point out that we still have a centre back pairing who have got slower, older and more injury prone - thereby leaving us weaker than we were last season, or the season before. That we have an attacking line up still devoid of creativity or spark...not to mention goals - yet the most non-productive member has been given a spanking new contract despite not wanting to play for us again. That we have a midfield bereft of creativity, yet are set to flog the only truly talented player.

So, erm, how are we not weaker?

We've not fortified, we've not built - there seems to be no plan and no ability to enact one. It's like Kelly is running the shop once more. The betting they start talking about forty fvcking points again? Odds on.

Of course, this is just me talking nonsense.

Drinkwater has been poor since Kante left...if you don't let him get his head up he is largely ineffective...N'didi will be class but he will never replicate what Kante did...I'd rather give Iborra and and N'didi a go in MF...DD hasn't produced for some time.

Depending on what happens over Mendy, I'd give him one final opportunity to impress.

Like everyone else, he needs a run of games before being fairly judged and he hasn't had that really (he's only played 4 games according to Wikipedia, and at almost every opportunity involving his name - he unfairly gets criticised).

Drinkwater often appears frustrated and for some reason seems low in confidence as well, sadly.

On a positive note, transfers are about a 7/10 for me

Pretty happy, especially compared to clubs around us who haven't really got started yet. (Except Everton who are surely planning on playing a 4-8-2 formation next season)

Bit more legs in defence and a smidge more composure and creativity to replace Shinji and we're good to go.

Unless the club acquire a CM proficient at ball-playing and passing, and good enough to become a fixture alongside Ndidi, we will not progress enough.   And without Mahrez, likely regress.  Maguire was well targeted, but the other new pieces don’t cover the biggest hole in the squad.
