Is ItchyNacho our only remaining target?

No one else is mentioned at all any more, other than by clickbaits?

I hope our remaining business is more than just replacing Mahrez with Gray & signing nacho

I'm not overly happy.

In my opinion, we should get rid of:

Musa, Mendy, King, Leo

Loan out:

Barnes, Choudry,

Iborra looks like a tall Andy King (happy to knock it backwards every time).  So slow.

The new keeper looks alright as a back up.

We need a creative midfielder.  Kelechi might turn up but we need someone to show some magic from centre mid.

i just hope we keep Mahrez.  Without him we look awful.

100% spot-on on Mahrez, I'm not overly fussed about Iborra either, it's like playing Ulloa at CM

If we get Nacho we still need someone else

Mendy could be great in front of our defence alongside Ndidi if we change formation, but he's not capable in a midfield 2

Plus RB is a huge problem too & we've got a LCB problem saved up for the future too

As posted on a previous thread there is still plenty of time.

But after a promising start with Maguire you wonder what is happening.

Is Shakey that ambitious ? Give him the benefit of the doubt at the moment though.

Nope. Lackluster, painfully slow (as always) and failed to strengthen in key areas as well as move on some dead wood.

Can't say I expected much else from our recruitment team though tbf.

18 days ago I was reasonably happy, now I've seen a few pre season game's I've got doubts.

Maguire and Iborra look ok but nothing extra special, we've replaced a keeper and Iheanacho still isn't on board with two weeks to the season kicking off.

Having £30-40 million knocked back by Swansea and now seemingly linked with no central midfielder is puzzling me. Iheanacho looks good but he's been playing with real quality in that Man City team, I have niggling doubts about him here unless we really get quality around him.

We coined it in last season with the CL money and it looked like we were getting business done early but it seems to have stalled, I understand the Iheanacho deal has issues.

Just feels like the momentum has been lost.

What's not to like?

- a 2nd choice goalie who is better than zieler with a better attitude regarding being a number 2.

- a young English center back who is a massive improvement on either of the two ageing stallions we already have.

- a Spanish center mid with experience as captain of one of the best clubs in Europe clearly had obvious quality and who will push Drinky and Wilfred hard for a starting place can also play at the back or number 10 if required.

- (if it's as done a deal as everyone thinks) one of the hottest young properties in world football a player who averages a goal or assist every 60 minutes and is only 20. A player who on paper is such an improvement on shinji it makes your head hurt.

Anyone questioning this transfer window is stupid imho best window (on paper) we have had for a generation.

we have made some good signings so far and I don't think anyone could deny that. However, I wouldn't go all out to say it's been a great window untill we add some creativity in the team. We can't just rely on mahrez especially now that there is a chance he will be gone. If we get 2 or atleast 1 creative player than I will be happy.

Not to forget 1 more CB!

Actually maybe a RB to push Danny too

Mixed at the moment based on the Mahrez situation.

Still need a couple more and I'd like one of those to have the wow factor

But two weeks and counting

I'm leaning more towards your 'sunny day' view more than some of the more pessimistic views, but its hard not to see the lack of creativity other than Mahrez.

5/10 I would say:

We still haven't brought in the main players we need to make us transition into a Top 7-10 team: if we bring in Iheanacho, Creative midfielder another RB and CB we are good to go. Could do with another Striker similar to Vardy in playing style. But if we don't then we will make do with what we have.

Overall apart from Maguire we once again so far only signed a few back up/squad fillers.

Iborra whilst is more experianced, yet seems to offer only a little more than King,James,Mendy (I know it's hard to judge) so it's still DD and Ndidi for CM for me.

We really need to push for signings who will displace/really push some of the regular starters for a starting spot.

The Man City striker depending on where he is played (main striker or number 10 role) will be an upgrade on Slim/Oka.

Think there is still a lot more work to do and some of the fringe players need moving on as they are not good enough.

Hopefully Shakey has some cards up his sleeve otherwise I only see a mid table finish with who we have brought in.

I'm struggling to see how anyone could be 'happy' with our transfer activity. We've filled up our squad with even more mediocre players, and, as far as I can see, have signed one player so far, who is going to be an obvious first teamer. We've done pretty much what we did last summer imo.

Rudkin and anyone associated with our transfer / scouting network needs putting in the ****ing bin. Another absolute joke window that's left us looking potentially just as bad if not weaker than before it opened.

We haven't had a coherent window since Pearson and his recruitment team left / got dismantled.

Any slight inkling of a metaphorical pre-season boner I might have mustered up has been completely killed dead in its tracks. It's like a cold winter day with no pants on and my dick has literally gone so far up inside myself they'll need to send out a 10 man expedition just to find it.

Gotta love it when posters blame their erectile dysfunction on the team or management. My shortcomings are all my own.
