I we sign Ich and Sig I think it'd be safe to say I'd be happy.

If we sell Mahrez for less than £40 million I won't be.

Apparently Iborra can cover at GK as well, let's just bin Zieler and Hamer

While we're at it let's sell everyone else who isn't in the starting XI...

I am. I think people need to believe that the starting eleven we have is top half material.

Theres a more measured approach in our signings. We look to be heading towards having a squad capable of another formation. A couple of more players after Kelechi and we are good to go. The signings or players we have bid for have track records of PL or top leagues in Europe.

I'll wait and vote after they're all done and dusted

If Ulloa is staying I think it's safe to say we're banking some notes with Slim going else where

Mahrez more notes, Mendy likely to bank some more notes

Then head to Wales with a Brown Evelope with a bit of luck     :fc:

Still would like to see a RB, CB ( Evans, Smalling ) Kelechi finalised and now a decent GK

Ps: So far so good but let's get it wrapped up asap

What if both happen? Will you be happy or not?

As things have developed with itchy-nacho stalling and Rob Tanner reporting Cigarson prefers Everton because of "the ambition they've showed" (selling Lukaku & probably Barkley) is ambition apparently)

I'm a bit worried that Mahrez will leave without us having suitable replacement(s)

Javier Hernandez is two-footed, scores and makes goals and can play most anywhere up front.  Bit expensive on wages but who isn't if they're any good.

With pre season about to start it's been really poor again, we've not managed to shift last summers failures namely Mendy and Musa, all we've brought in is a defender from the side relegated with the worst defence and an aging midfielder who appeared to be being phased out at Sevilla. (despite that, we're happy to dish out a 4 year contract).

Really poor? The centre-back we've signed is a hot tip to be an England regular and Iborra's got pedigree as a class player and genuine achiever with leadership qualities.

As for last season's "failures" maybe a magician with a wand couldn't shift people economically,  based on last season's efforts,  so just maybe they've seen enough to think again in relation to one or two of them and certainly while the securing of other targets is unresolved for reasons outside our control.

All good sense to my mind.

I'm a little underwhelmed so far.

Granted, Iborra is a solid reinforcement for our midfield and we needed a younger centre-back at some stage.

RB still an issue for me, as is the Mahrez situation (Will he stay? Will he go?). And we need an attacking-minded central midfielder in a No.10 role AND another (left) winger comparable to Mahrez, ideally.

Also need to get clarification on Musa's, Ulloa's and Slimani's future at the club.

However, still more than a month to go before the window closes and some transfer dealings and contract negotiations simply take an awful lot of time.

I'm not hyperventilating.

Same here, glad we have Vince and a new CB but it's been a bit underwhelming so far. We need to sign someone creative, not a hot prospect but someone who's ready to shine or Mahrez will be stifling again... if he stays, that is

I'm happy with the individual deals we've done so far - and i don't think we need to go mad signing a load of new players - but a couple more would really get me excited (Kelchi and another winger for example)

I just wish i could see exactly where guys like Matty James, Lawrence, Barnes, Moore, Hamer - and also (for different reasons) Musa, Slimani, Mendy etc are going to fit into this - not really against giving any of them a place in the 25 (of course some won't need it as they are 21 or under) but if they all end up in the picture then we're probably done already - which i'd question a bit.

I'll stick my neck out, perhaps Musa will end up as good as a new signing...2nd year, get settled - better pre season etc lol

I work with a Newcastle fan , they are underwhelmed!

there isn't many PL clubs who would say they have had a good window, with the money sloshing around it's actually making it harder for most clubs

Just reading through the Hull transfer thread on not606... if there's a definition of a disastrous transfer window that's what they're having now.

Ours has not been poor by any means.

Probably because all/most football fans are pessimistic.

Lose one friendly and it's "were going down". Win one friendly and its "yeah I think top 10 is achievable".

Football fans are strange but we love it :D

It's ok so far and there's still just under a month before the season starts.

I was hoping that there'd be more of a revolving door, as the most notable departure is Zieler. I think that we still need another right-back, winger, striker and a no.10. At a stretch I'd like us to sign another centre-half but at most I think we'll bring in 3 more, including Jakupovic and Iheanacho.
