Mahrez should have either been hooked or shoved into the middle instead of Iheanacho. We were massively under for the last 10/15mins and everybody knows Mahrez's main assets going forward. Albrighton helped out Fuchs as usual but was knackered with 10mins to go.

I rekon Vardy would have been a better bet out wide for the last 10mins. At least he'll get back, help out a bit, get stuck in.... If we had Schlupp he'd have done a job just sitting in front of Fuchs while Albrighton switches.

The situation was tailor made for the Schlupp of our title season - though not the sulky boy we finished up with. But it was never an option and only indicates the price we pay for our lack of investment in pacey defensively-aware options. Chilwell's the best we've got and I would have used him, but not without concern. He's still vulnerable height/strength-wise and not reliable enough.

Ah yeah, forgot about Chilwell. Could have put him in front of Fuchs or visa versa.

Mahrez really wasn't that bad, people are being ****ing ridiculous. Thick.

He was in the first half. Disgraceful performance.

But much respect for the second half, he really turned things around. I don't think he deserves a 4. I think 6 would be fairer. Yes he was partially responsible for the second goal, but made up for it with an assist. And you can't really blame an attacker for making a defensive mistake.

I don't understand those comments on here that so and so should have been marked higher/lower etc.

329 people voted. This is democracy at work. Accept the result.

I always find these votes a really fair and accurate gauge of how the players performed - far more indicative of the truth than newspaper ratings (particularly those of the over-generous Mercury).

One of the best threads on the forum.

Mahrez rated lowest again by the same old.

Won't know what we have till its gone.

We won't miss what he's contributing at the moment or last season. We do miss his efforts and performance the year before. People need to stop dreaming. When he leaves and starts to perform again for some other club, some deluded people will still believe that it was the rest of the teams fault that he wasn't performing! At the moment, at best, he's some  clubs  2nd or 3rd choice for a reason. As brilliant as he was, it was for one season only. His temperament last season reveals a flaw, would you risk  £50m?

His low marks on here represent the popular opinion of how ever many people voted, it's not coincidence. Very sad but true.

Dead right. So many obvious options ie Chilwell, King or whoever for Mahrez and I don't mean that as a downer on Mahrez but, although James and Albrighton were knackered,  they still both offered more than Mahrez. For all King's knockers he does at least have good positional sense, awareness and and always gives of his best. Chilwell equally would have offered a lot more defensively and would be a breakaway threat.
