Mahrez worse than Kelechi did he even touch the ball?

No because we were massively under the cosh at that stage. Mahrez cost us the second goal so yeh he did do worse.

He was on the pitch all match and the corner for the 3rd goal aside he was a hindrance.

Fair reflection. I was at the athletics on Friday so missed the game but watched it

back today. Vardy and Maguire were our stand outs, the Ox for them was superb.

After reading the comments on here I was expecting to see Amartey have a stinker

when he came on, but I didn't think he was that bad.

Mahrez really wasn't that bad, people are being ****ing ridiculous. Thick.

He wasn't great. I think the average fan just wants to see their players giving 100%

and not shitting out of tackles. I know he's not in the team for his ball winning skills

but some of his leg dangling was embarrassing.

I think Mahrez was dropped in it by the manager. We were under the cosh for the last 20 mins, trying to defend a lead whilst Wenger threw on every attacker he had. It was not a game for Mahrez as it's not in his skill set to battle and defend leads. So he looked useless in those last 20 mins as he couldn't offer anything. He should have been subbed off at that point for Chilwell or Amartey to provide some solidity to the flank.

I'm sure Claudio used to sub Mahrez off a fair bit in our title winning season when defending leads.

Mahrez rated lowest again by the same old.

Won't know what we have till its gone.

At this rate, you do wonder if we can afford to keep starting him. We're getting precious little from him.

But I don't think he was much worse than the majority of the team. Albrighton might've had a good first half, but I don't remember much from him second half.

The contrast to the hard working Albrighton and Okazaki is likely why Mahrez gets such low scores.

Not convinced Maguire was as good as he seemed. A mixture of good and bad to me. Don't get me wrong - I like the bloke cos he seems to have a great attitude and willingness to be a part of something as team-player, defender and attacker.

But right now he's fitting into, and being accommodated, into the team and it shows at times to our cost as well as our benefit. His lack of pace bothers me together with the time he takes on the ball.

He won more tackles than Simpson, Fuchs and Albrighton though lol

I thought he was much better in the second half. His trouble in the first half is that he tried to show off too much and he also got **** all off the referee.

In the second he started to play the ball quicker and everybody profited.

He does offer a considerable and very welcome threat at set pieces though which directly led to one goal.

But I agree that he didn't convince defensively. At one point first half he and Wes were out on the left side of the Arsenal half following a set piece acting as play makers. It went OK, but if that had failed we'd have been pretty screwed. Hopefully it's a case of settling in and getting used to his teammates.

His improvement after HT was noticeable and the momentum arguably led to the third goal. But past that initial 15-20 minute spell he faded again as the team crumbled.

We don't have it and haven't had it for a year. No-one will take him so we'll be playing him every week and not knowing how good we could have been without him. ;)

Bizarre, Shinji had one of his best games in a City shirt and scored less than Maguire who whilst good at times was probably at fault for two goals.

Mahrez set up a goal and scored lower than a bloke who didn't touch the ball.

People resent him for wanting out. Being really crap the first half didn't help too.

Mahrez should have either been hooked or shoved into the middle instead of Iheanacho. We were massively under for the last 10/15mins and everybody knows Mahrez's main assets going forward. Albrighton helped out Fuchs as usual but was knackered with 10mins to go.

I rekon Vardy would have been a better bet out wide for the last 10mins. At least he'll get back, help out a bit, get stuck in.... If we had Schlupp he'd have done a job just sitting in front of Fuchs while Albrighton switches.
