We've got a great squad currently however that winning premier league team had both Kante and Drinkwater. If we had still had them two, then perhaps we would have been pushing even further up.

Kante yes, Drinkwater is hardly missed.

Only it patches. Against Chelsea we played like 'the old Leicester', and in the odd half every few weeks. Today we seemed to do it albeit against a lower league team with an experimental side out.

In the majority of games this season, under Shakespeare and Puel, we have played ponderous (I assume that's what you mean by 'binding our time'), unambitious, dull football. I know people around me at games have been just as bored as me on many occasions.

People (drunk people) are once again confusing good football with keeping possession. These 2 things are not remotely linked. We are better at keeping possession, but not in effective areas, and are still prone to panicking under pressure in our own half and having to 'get rid' - thus, our possession comes to nothing.

Good football involves a commitment to scoring goals (this being the aim of the sport) and this is something we have only done sporadically up to this point since May 2016.

Good god.. You're so stuck in the 2015/16 season that it makes bind and biased to anthing else. It's incredible.

Puel has expanded our game plan and brought Balance to the Team. For that reason alone we are a much better side both technically and for Fans to watch.

Kante was excellent for us in winning the title but would I swap him for NDiddi, No I wouldn't. but that's just my opinion.

Drinkwater again while having a good season in the title year is slow and average by the standard required. It was a great piece of business by the Club and with the recent additions I don't believe we've missed him.

We are moving up and long may it continue.

How does that work?

Vardy, Mahrez, Albrighton, Drinkwater and Kante cost under £7m combined

Who were in the first 11 the title winning squad was made up of players like Jeff schlupp and Nathan Dyer.

Yes the squad is better without doubt. Puel is not afraid to play youth and fringe players either, which will strengthen us further in the long run.

Kante is obviously still till a big loss to us, even with Ndidi’s excellence. Overall though I think we are stronger and more or less in the position we should expect. It’s possible we could push top 5 next season, but all teams strengthen. I imagine Spuds will be in a massive transitional phase after the summer cull. Arsenal too perhaps.

On our day day we can push Liverpool close, but realistically top 4 would be a massive stretch next season.

In every position we have two very good players. Only Amartey is perhaps a bit too early too call. In 15/16 this was in no way the case. And now we perhaps may have a player equal to Kante or at least approaching that level.

Our squad is better. But in 15/16 we had the benefits of being unknown, being discounted, having an amazing team spirit and having tactics that broke most of our opponents.

Very true.

We also had the benefit of Riyad, Vardy, Wes, Fuchs and Huth playing at the very top of their game week in week out and a style that the league couldn't cope with at the time.

We also had DD and Kante.  I may be in a minority but today I wouldn't swap Silva for DD and I wouldn't swap Wilf the guv'nor for Kante.

I reckon on paper, today's team is a fraction stronger.

Do not disagree with the kante point. However, of course theres a logic to the argument. Would you rather have 12/13 players capable of playing in the first team without a massive reduction in quality? Or would you rather have a marginally weaker starting 11 but have around 18 players able to play?

Of course in a one off match you would choose the former but as a squad for a season? I know id take the latter. Thats the point people are trying to make.

The title winning season squad is over rated because it won the title. Im not saying that season we were crap, i bloody loved it, as did every other leicester fan. But it was a freak season. Once in a lifetime. If we had even 2 long term injuries to any of that starting 11 we probably wouldnt have won the title. Now we are in a better position to deal with that. Meaning the SQUAD has improved even if the starting 11 hasnt.

Putting it simply (even if the point is exaggerated) which squad is stronger a) premier league quality 13 and 12 championship standard players or b) prem standard 18 and 7 champ standard?

Thanks. You summed up very well what I was about to write.

I'm not saying the squad isn't better now, I agree, I'm just saying the cost of the players has nothing to do with it. Vardy £1m, Slimani £30m. Slimani is nowhere near as good as Vardy

Title winning team is a better 11. Of course it is. Silly to think otherwise.

Better squad? Also yes. Strength in depth is brilliant to see.

The way it panned out was excellent and anybody who doesn't regret losing kante is mental.

However, far too many players had the purple patch of their career and seeing how dd did the season after, and the time it took Mahrez to get his mojo back, I think man for man we are now a better team as well.

The football we are now playing is something I never thought possible, especially with so few personnel changes to last year with the new boys not yet bedded in, is exciting.

And obviously adding the strength in depth is just the cherry on the cake.

Good times indeed.

I would say Silva, Ndidi and Iborra are as good as replacements tho for Drinky and Kante as LCFC could get - Silva is a better player than Drinkwater also for sure, especially for the style Puel is trying to employ now.

Silva makes us a better team having him in the side rather than Drinkwater? And you base this in what? How many minutes have you seen him in a leicester shirt? How can you possibly know he I’ll. e a better player for us than Drinkwater. I’ve read some ridiculous things here on the last and this is right up there.

You wouldn’t swop Kante for Ndiddi? What?

Wilf is good and has promise to be very good but he’s far from the class of Kante yet who is probably the best in the world in his position and has 2 title winners medals to boot.

Crazy.

The praise for Wilf borders on the ridiculous.

It annoys me because i like him but better than Kante. You what!?

I've watched a lot of Silva from his time at Sporting and playing for Portugal, and I saw a lot of Drinkwater obviously being a LCFC fan. DD was quality for us in the title season, as were all of the players, but Silva is definitely a better player. It's not ridiculous at all

You said he makes LEICESTER a better side with him in instead of DRINKY  What evidence do you have if this after him playing just a few minutes?
