Swan in the Rushes (Old man and Castle Rock).

Other notable shouts: Organ Grinder (quite traditional), White Hart (traditional pub, but stylish), Wheeltapper (micropub), Pin & Needle (micropub), Three Nuns (Traditional Everards and next to White Hart).

Mega thanks.

Any of them likely to have Bass on?

Wilfred Pinsent and the Swan 1-2 in  Mountsorrel is just corking, I've said it before but those two can hold a candle to any pair.

Had a bottle of Gäffel Kolsch, then a Hall's Brewery (Coalville) Keller lager in WP, pint of Round Corner Market Pale in the Swan, capped of by a Blue Fox in the Sorel Fox. Susan as some would say.

I took my Dad to Pinsent just before Christmas and he's obsessed with it now. Now I've got him out of Quorn he realises that there's better pubs elsewhere.

It's a shame the opening hours are what they are but I totally get why. The clip they rotate through the bottled selection is impressive

Not done Silbey or Barrow yet, waiting for nicer/dryer weather to walk over.

GB does, never went pre-refurb but it's so soulless, I hate the contemporary Indian restaurant grey look pubs are going for.

Pubs should not have LED spotlights!

Horse and Trumpet in Sileby used to be decent when it was Steamin Billy. It's now a Punch Tavern so imagine it's gone downhill (haven't been post change).

Navigation in the sun is Susan.

Saw the bowling green was closed earlier.

Did think the footfall had dropped in there in recent months.

Think the tenants had left or are leaving - lease is up on Stonegate's site so not closed for good

Good to hear the Peacock is still running. At one point my sister did the Sunday lunches in there.

My favourite drinking hole, the Gate Inn is long gone. All the memories are fading now. Even the Green man.

Thornbridge Green mountain and Jaipur alcohol free on tap in tap76 Ashby last night.

Great to have these options

Ashby has the best concentration of good pubs in the smallest vicinity of the Leicestershire towns

Tiger Triple Gold. The best limited edition pint Everard's have ever done.

Had this in the R&D Arms a couple of weeks ago and yes it's very nice. Do they still produce Beacon? Haven't seen it in ages and always thought it was a very nice light bitter but the kind of beer that doesn't get drunk loads any more.
