Really disappointed with how many of these friendlies have been on TV, even ITV4 or BBC Red Button or Sky Sports Red Button.

There's been about 2-3 games for each World Cup team in preparation for the tournament and aside from England games, which are always on TV anyway, I can only count a handful of these friendlies that have been aired here.

Clearly it's seen as a balance between what they determine viewing figures and interest to be against the fee they have to pay broadcasting it, remember too alot of these friendlies have been in America where they're 5-8 hours behind us so have 2am kick offs. Huge tournaments like the Copa Lib, Copa America ect. get no coverage here yet are amazing spectacles just because there isn't enough interest or belief that there would be.

It's just business and ITV prefer to have roulette on all night and BBC the news. Anyone internet savvy enough can watch pretty much any game they want to live though; if they have the time

At least he got another 15 minutes or so of match action.

And Kasper in goal for Denmark once again - 2-0 win against Mexico.

Next and last LCFC player on (possible) friendly starting XI duties: Shinji on Tuesday with Japan against Paraguay.

France looked very poor tonight against what is almost essentially the USA's U20 squad. Not only could they not break down our defense, but Giroud came off after a nasty head to head collision. His status could be in doubt if he is concussed.

Hugo lloris looked very shakey at the back. He gave up a goal to the near post that should have been covered. The only positive was that Imbape and fekir looked good.

They did look poor.

Still expect them to get it together and be difficult to knock out of the tournament. Helped by being in one of the easier groups.

It's a big if but if that squad clicks, they could prove unstoppable. I agree that Lloris is starting to look a bit of a liability these days though.

Shinji played 74 minutes for Japan in their 4-2 win against Paraguay, coming off at 2-1. From what I saw, he wasn't involved in any of the first two goals by his side, both scored by Inui.
