He's neither fit enough nor at the same level from 4 years ago so Liverpool would be a tall order. That said, there is 0 chance he'd come here.

Swap one of the best teams in Europe, a title challenge and CL every year for a mid-table team with a possible relegation fight at the end of the season. Yeah, right.

People saying he's finished, worth a loan or even think he could set a foot here need a reality check. Badly.

Hey, don’t shoot the messenger, just commenting on what he had said himself. The Liverpool fans don’t think he’s good enough now either but it’s not up to them. Klopp likes a project.

As long as Bayern exist in that form, it's highly unlikely any other team will ever challenge them for the title.

Having said that, this upcoming season could be indicative of things to come - Lewandowski and Boateng may be off, Robben and Ribéry are getting on, new manager, same expectations.

For the sake of the sport, please have somebody else win the Bundesliga for once. Bittebittebitte!!

BvB..

Even though I am a bvb Fan,Götze is a good Player, who peaked young and WE may have seen his best, and wouldnt have anything Special to offer us.Unless He can find a new Lust and Release of Football Life.

It wasn't a dig at you. Sorry if it came across that way.

It was more about some posters who seem to think that we're actually able to attract a this kind of players of this caliber, at this age,, just because he had some metabolic problems and isn't back at his level (yet).

That's pure delusion. None of them would ditch the CL and/or title challenge to come to a team which has realistically no chance to win the title before a long, long time and might be very well relegated if things go south. That a downstep, no matter how some touchy egos here feel butthurt about it.

Players like Pereira, Evans and hopefully Maddison are the kind of signings who will make us progress and establish ourselves as a solid PL team. That would be the first step, after that, well one can dream.

You're burying him a bit too fast. He's 26, not 35.

Are you actually a Leicester fan?

Oh so he isn’t good enough for Liverpool but he is way to good for Leicester?

ummmm

remind me who won the title more recently again?

disrespectful to Leicester yet again

He'd be moving now though, not three years ago. It isn't disrespectful to City to say that Liverpool can and will attract a better calibre of player than we can this summer. They got to the Champions League final last month.

Would love this. I think he is getting back to what he was and could be a fantastic addition! Hopefully this will go through! Would be THE marquee signing to replace mahrez

Don't understand why you wouldn't want him. He's class when he's fit and we're minted enough to take the risk.

Get it done. Would be a sensational signing.

Pay the money, it's worth the risk. At best he could be worth more than mahrez and at worst we've paid the same and more for worse players.

That’s a great point.

Nope. Just watch all Leicester games and hang around here for the hell of it.

that is baffling

There was so much wrong in your original post that I wouldn't know where to begin.

And you still don't get it.

Glad to hear it.

I just wondered since you joined here after the title win, you live in Germany, and seem to be a Mahrez fanboy.

It doesn't matter.

What's important to know is that I don't give a toss about anyone misinterpreting my posts, coming at me with a "holier than thou" attitude and snarky remarks about the date I joined in or me being a Mahrez fanboy. They generally end up on my ignore list which is becoming impressively long, I must say.

Now since the mods are trigger happy as soon as I get involved in an argument, let's break this pointless conversation here.

Have a nice day.

Oh I agree but @ZeGuy has said he is too good for us but not good enough for Liverpool? So Liverpool are 2 levels above us? Really?

Just making the point i think we are closer than that? Just maybe
