In recent memory, I can remember the KP being a fortress for us. The outstading home support certainly played its part. Its come to mind that our home form has been nowhere near as good as the season we came up. And the season after (where we did you know what).

Just wanted some of your opinions as to why this is.

The toilets in the changing rooms got refurbished the summer after we won the league, and the players ****ing hate them. Coincidence? I think not.

The first season after promotion saw us win 2 of our first 13 home games before April.

The only seasons it has been a fortress are the three title winning seasons.

Lots of reasons. Poor buying so many different players. Then a completely different playing system with a lot of young players.

From day one Puel's implemented his system. Last season trying to work out what players fit it. This season is still work in progress. Imo one of  his problems is clearing the unwanted players.

He's still 1 or 2 players short of a team. Then probably 4/5 more to fill the squad. But with FFP wage constraints the clubs hands are tied.

Perhaps this change should have happened over time rather than overnight. But I think most fans gripe is the loss of the counter attack.

In time and with the right players it will return and I think fans will enjoy it. But as said the confusing bit is not using the counter attack.

Real Barca and Man c as good as they are play both ways. Hold it up when needed attack when possible at pace.

Puels system to see out a game 1-0 2-0 is fine. But to start games like it just don't work and not good on the eye. We need to work hard from the start not letting teams settle in.

He's absolutely right, people pointing to stats on how well or badly we did per season, some seasons we've been near the bottom but home form has kept us out the mire.

These days, it's the away form keeping us in mid table safety and home form is poor in comparison.

I haven't got time cos of work but if you look at home vs away for % of total points we picked up per season for the last few seasons, I'd wager it's got from about 65%-35% in favour of home, and under Puel it can't have been much more than 55%-45%, and this season we've picked up more points away despite very winnable home games.

On the flip side you can say he's improved us away from home I guess but we're so dull to watch and toothless at home under him.

Last few seasons you can always rely on us to beat anybody outside the top 6 here. Since Puel though no, I can see Watford beating us this weekend more than a home win.

EXACTLY what he said ^^

Teams underestimated us in the title winning season and thought they could come to the kp and just attack us. Since then, the teams outside the top 6 are more cautious and defend deep and we find it very difficult to break teams down.

Maybe this is true to a degree, but I remember that even under Shakespeare we'd put away the poor sides at home. Same for Ranieri's second season - two woeful managers at the time but we still picked up results at home (and it was for the best as we picked up nothing on the road).

Under Puel we've lost the ability to do so even when looking better in games against better teams or away at lower ranked teams - we simply don't put visiting teams under enough pressure.

Only been a fortress twice in last eight years, unless I am living in an alternative universe - which is possible.

In my 55 years supporting the City, maybe had six / seven seasons when our home form was "fortress like"
